John 1:4-13

John begins His Gospel by going back to the very beginning, to the creation account of Genesis 1, and he connects Jesus as the One who is the Eternal Word of God and the Creator of the Universe. He then builds on that by upholding Jesus as the life-giving Light who gives all who believe upon Him the right to become children of God.

We live in a world darkened by sin and all of its effects (suffering, disease, death, separation from God). Motivated by love for His creation and the fame of His name – God’s light infiltrates the world in the person of Jesus Christ.

Big Truth: and are found in Jesus alone (John 1:4-9)

The Decision Everyone Must Make. Either you…
1 – Him and remain in the dark (John 1:10-11)

OR…

2 – Him and be adopted into the light (John 1:12-13)
