What did you learn about the manger today that you may not have known before? Why is it so hard to give God our mess? Why do so many people hold onto it? Why is it so hard to trust? Why do we make it so hard to trust God? In what way was the manger a sign for the shepherds? Share some examples of when you have seen God’s hand in your life? What are steps that we can take to seek an attitude of praise? Twice in the book of Luke, we see the Greek word for pleased (eudokia). One is in Luke 2:14, the other is in Luke 10:21. Read Luke 10:21. What did Jesus mean when He said, “…because you have hidden these things from the wise and learned, and revealed them to little children (babes)?” The manger was a part of God’s plan to lead us to the cross. What are some of the parallels between the fact that Jesus was born in a manger and that He died on a cross? Read Philippians 2:5-11. What do these verses say about the humility of our Savior?
