When we realize that we are victors in Christ and are no longer living in defeat, it changes everything about the way we live.
1. “What fears am I carrying that God may be calling me to release?”
In verse 5, the angel tells the women, “Do not be afraid.” Fear is a major theme—what fears are keeping me from fully trusting in God’s promises?
2. “How do I respond when something miraculous or unexpected happens in my life?”
The women were met with something completely unexpected: an empty tomb and a risen Jesus. How open am I to God’s surprises, especially when they challenge what I thought I knew?
3. “Where do I see signs of new life or resurrection in my own journey?”
Jesus’ resurrection is the ultimate symbol of new beginnings. What parts of my life are being made new, restored, or reborn?
4. “Do I believe the message of resurrection in my heart—or only in my head?”
The angel gave the women a message to go and tell the others. Do I carry the resurrection hope in a way that affects how I live and speak?
5. “How quick am I to worship when I encounter Jesus?”
When Jesus appeared to the women in verse 9, they came to him, clasped his feet, and worshiped him. What’s my immediate response when I feel God’s presence?
6. “Am I actively sharing good news, or keeping it to myself?”
The angel and Jesus both gave the women a mission: “Go and tell.” Who in my life needs to hear the hope I carry?
7. “How is Jesus meeting me ‘on the way’ in my daily life?”
Jesus didn’t appear at the tomb—He met the women as they were on their way. Am I paying attention to moments where Jesus meets me in the ordinary?
