THE SAVING KING

Jesus didn’t come just to be born — He came to rescue, restore, and give humanity a new beginning from certain death. Today we talk about the saving King and

But rarely does anyone say, “I need to be saved.”

  • “you feel stuck.”
  • “you feel broken.”
  • “you wish you could start over.”
  • “I don’t like the person I’ve become.”
  • “Something feels off in my life.”

Different words…Same problem.

Because Christmas isn’t just about a baby being born. It’s about why He was born.

  • Man had a problem

It says humanity is lost.

  • Here is WHY JESUS CAME

Matthew 1:21 (NIV) “She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins.”

In the original language, the word SAVE means: to rescue, to deliver, to restore to wholeness.

Jesus comes from the Hebrew Yeshua, meaning: “The Lord saves.”

So God stepped in. Jesus stated his purpose.

Luke 19:10 (NIV) “For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.”

This is important. Jesus didn’t say: “People found me.” He said: “I came looking.”

The Saving King does not come to take, He comes to give

    GOD’S MOTIVE IS LOVE.

John 3:16–17 (NIV) “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.”

    • The Saving King rescues by grace, not performance.
    • Does not wait for moral improvement
    • Does not save people who “earn it” (religious effort)
    • He Acts out of kindness, love, and mercy

    • Salvation begins with who He is, not who we are.

Salvation doesn’t start with human effort—it starts with divine mercy.

    • The Saving King doesn’t just forgive—He makes new

Titus 3:5 ….“He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit.”

Jesus doesn’t come to improve behavior—He comes to recreate hearts.

    But there is more….

Titus 2:11–12 For the grace of God has appeared that offers salvation to all people. 12 It teaches us to say “No” to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age,

Titus 2:13 “While we wait for the blessed hope—the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ.”

    • The Saving King connects today’s struggles to tomorrow’s promise, so people don’t lose hope while they wait.

Salvation isn’t just about the past—it’s about where history is going.

Titus 2:14 who gave himself for us to redeem us from all wickedness and to purify for himself a people that are his very own, eager to do what is good.

    Redeems

    Purifies , rewrites your story

Forms people who live for more than just themselves.

Jesus saves us from sin, reshapes us for life, and sends us back into the world as visible evidence of His reign.

And the heart of Christmas is this simple idea:
rescue came before we knew how desperate the situation was.

As this week begins, the Christmas story invites people to do a few simple but meaningful things.

To stop trying to save themselves in the areas where effort hasn’t been enough.
To receive grace instead of performing, trusting that mercy comes before improvement.
To pay attention to where life feels disconnected, because that may be where God wants to restore wholeness.
To live like someone who’s been rescued, letting gratitude shape choices, attitudes, and relationships.
And to look outward, asking where their life can quietly reflect hope, kindness, and purpose to others.

Because the Saving King didn’t just come to change eternity —
He came to reshape everyday life.
