WEEK 50

SCRIPTURE

(Highlighted story of the week)

Show me your faithful love this morning. I trust in you. Show me what I should do. I put my life in your hands!

Psalms 143:8

OBSERVATION

(What is this scripture saying?)

King David is pleading with God to reveal His will to him. David is under a lot of stress and he wants to hear a Word from God on what he should do. King David realizes that his life belongs to God and he trusts that God will know what to do and will show him.

APPLICATION

(How can I apply this scripture to my life?)

Parents, tell your child(ren):

King David realized that his life was in God’s hands and that God would take care of him. He trusted that God would tell him what to do. Rightfully so, we ask God what to do in every situation. He wants us to do that, so that our instruction can come from Him!

Ages 4-6:

Have you ever had a tough time and didn’t know what to do? Next time, ask God what you should do and hear for what He says! Draw a picture of what it looks like for your life to be in God’s hands.

Ages 7-9:

Have you ever not known what to do in a certain situation? Or maybe it was beyond your control and you needed guidance on how to respond or think. What’s the first thing you do? Do you normally ask God for the next step?

PRAYER

(Parents: Have your child repeat this prayer or pray/write their own prayer.)

“Dear God, thank You that You are the one that we can turn to when we don’t know what to do. Help us to know You and listen to Your voice. We want to know and see Your love.  In Jesus’ name, amen!

Ages 10+

Revelation 15:1-8; Psalm 143:1-12; Proverbs 30:24-28
