When opinions clash, traditions collide, and generations misunderstand each other, what holds us together?
The common ground is the —and the Gospel is .
- FAMILY CONFLICT IS INEVITABLE—BUT DIVISION IS
Acts 15:1-2 NIV
- THE GOSPEL IS THE GREAT
Acts 15:7–11 NIV
The Gospel Truth: Salvation has never been about effort—it’s always been about
The Solas are five Latin phrases summarizing core theological convictions of the 16th-century Protestant Reformation, distinguishing reformers’ beliefs from Roman Catholic doctrine regarding salvation and authority. They emphasize that salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone, based on Scripture alone, for God’s glory alone.
- UNITY FLOWS WHEN WE FOCUS ON THE AND THE FAMILY.
Acts 15:19–21 NIV
James speaks and says something powerful: “We should not make it difficult for those who are turning to God.”
- LET US AROUND COMMON GROUND!
Ephesians 4:3-6 NIV
We don’t all:
- Think the same
- Worship the same
- Prefer the same
- Express faith in the same
But we are saved the same way: By Grace Alone…Through Faith Alone…In Chris Alone!
So let’s:
- Be teachable if we’re young
- Be tender if we’re seasoned
- Stop dividing over non-essentials
The common ground is:
Not age…Not style…Not tradition…Not preference.
The common ground is the Gospel—and His Name is JESUS!
