TRUST WEEK 3: Trusting In A Sovereign God

Isaiah 46:9-10 ESV

9  remember the former things of old;
for I am God, and there is no other;
 I am God, and there is none like Me,
10 declaring the end from the beginning
    and from ancient times things not yet done,
saying, ‘My counsel shall stand,
    and I will accomplish all my purpose,’

Why trust in God’s Sovereignty?

 1. God what we cannot.

Isaiah 55:8-9 ESV

8 For My thoughts are not your thoughts,
    neither are your ways My ways, declares the Lord.
9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth,
    so are My ways higher than your ways
    and My thoughts than your thoughts.

2. God all things for good.

Romans 8:28 ESV

28 And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to His purpose.

3. Jesus Is Our .

James 4:7 ESV 7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

How do I choose to trust God’s Sovereignty in my life? 

1. We worship in
2. We are with God in prayer.
3. We in God’s nature.

4. We control daily.

Proverbs 3:5-6 ESV

5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
    and do not lean on your own understanding.
6 In all your ways acknowledge Him,
    and He will make straight your paths.
