LIGHT THE WAY – Week 3: The Light of Joy
December 14, 2025 / Mountain Park ChurchTitle: An Ineffable Joy
Scripture: Luke 2:10-11 NIV
Ineffable joy is gladness so deep, sublime and marvelous, so intense that it can’t be expressed or described to a full with human words.
Jesus brought Joy to the world by announcing his birth. He lights the way for us so that we are not in darkness.
- Good news from great joy.
Joy is not a feeling, Joy is a person and his name is Jesus. The birth of Christ was a promise of great gladness for all the people, according to 1 Thessalonians 5:16 NIV – “always be joyful.”
Acts 8:5-8 NIV
2. Complete and lasting joy.
Jesus came to give us joy that doesn’t get lost during our tribulations or trials. Unlike the joy that the world has to offer. You can find this joy in the hope of the resurrection and in the presence of the Lord in our lives. John 16:20 NIV
John 16:20 NIV
3. The joy of Jesus within us allows our joy to be complete.
John 15:11 NIV
The complete joy that comes from the relationship with God.
Transforms us
Strengthens us
And makes us want to share this love with everyone else.
4. The Joy of the Lord is our strength.
The main point here is the importance of gladness in the Lord, like a fountain of strength. When the people feel moved by listening to the law. Nehemiah and Ezra remind us that we should not get worried or sad but to celebrate with happiness and gratitude. This teaches us that in difficult times, God’s presence and gladness strengthens us and gives us hope.
God wants you and me to be the appointed ones to spread gladness constantly. Like an authentic fountain to the people. Reflecting his love, and his peace in every situation.
It’s a calling to be the light and inspire others with the strength and gladness that comes from the Holy Spirit.
