What do you think?
Have someone quickly read over the main “fill-ins” from Sunday’s message to jog the memories. From the message, what particular point challenged you, stood out to you, or raised a question for you?(MULTILINE)
The story of your life.
Pastor Kyle talked about how every generation seems to wonder whether they are living in the end times. Share a time when world events, personal circumstances, or something in the news made you stop and think more seriously about life, eternity, or your relationship with God.(MULTILINE)
Digging deeper in God’s Word.
- Jesus often taught about the end times by emphasizing readiness. In the parable of The Ten Virgins, some were prepared and some were not. The point is clear: spiritual readiness cannot be borrowed, and last-minute panic is no substitute for a life that is truly watching for Christ. Read Matthew 25:1–13 together and answer the following prompts.
- Have a few members of the group recap the passage using their own words.(MULTILINE)
- What stands out to you most about the difference between the wise and foolish virgins?(MULTILINE)
- What does this story tell us about God? About people and ourselves?(MULTILINE)
- One of the clearest applications from Sunday’s message was the need for daily intimacy with Jesus. Mary and Martha show two different postures toward Him and remind us how easily busyness can crowd out what matters most. Read Luke 10:38–42 together and answer the following prompts.
- Have a few members of the group recap the passage using their own words.(MULTILINE)
- What is the difference between doing things for Jesus and simply being with Jesus?(MULTILINE)
- What helps you personally slow down and make space for real time with God?(MULTILINE)
- Jesus often described readiness for His return using the picture of servants waiting for their master. The emphasis is not on predicting the timing, but on being found faithful when He comes. Read Luke 12:35–48 together and answer the following prompts.
- Have a few members of the group recap the passage using their own words.(MULTILINE)
- What pictures of readiness or faithfulness stand out to you in this passage?(MULTILINE)
- For you what does it look like to live faithfully while waiting on God?(MULTILINE)
- What does this story tell us about God? About people and ourselves?(MULTILINE)
- The sermon emphasized that the two most important truths to know about the end times are how Jesus will return and how we should live in the meantime. Let’s read together and reflect on the insights from these verses.
