Joy In The Journey

“The Joy of a Generous Life”

(Philippians 4:14-16) Yet it was good of you to share in my troubles. 15 Moreover, as you Philippians know, in the early days of your acquaintance with the gospel, when I set out from Macedonia, not one church shared with me in the matter of giving and receiving, except you only; 16 for even when I was in Thessalonica, you sent me aid more than once when I was in need.

(Philippians 4:17) Not that I desire your gifts; what I desire is that more be credited to your account.

(Philippians 4:18) I have received full payment and have more than enough. I am amply supplied, now that I have received from Epaphroditus the gifts you sent. They are a fragrant offering, an acceptable sacrifice, pleasing to God.

(Galatians 6:7) Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows.

1. You reap you sow

(Galatians 6:8) Whoever sows to please their flesh, from the flesh will reap destruction; whoever sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life.

(Proverbs 22:6) Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it.

(Psalm 92:13-15) The righteous will flourish like a palm tree, they will grow like a cedar of Lebanon; 13 planted in the house of the LORD, they will flourish in the courts of our God. 14 They will still bear fruit in old age, they will stay fresh and green, 15 proclaiming, “The LORD is upright; he is my Rock, and there is no wickedness in him.”

2. You reap you sow

(Matthew 25:23) “His master replied, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master’s happiness!’

3. You reap you sow

(2 Corinthians 9:10-11) Now he who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will also supply and increase your store of seed and will enlarge the harvest of your righteousness.

11 You will be enriched in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion, and through us your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God.

4. You reap than you sow

(2 Corinthians 9:11) You will be enriched in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion, and through us your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God.

(Philippians 4:16) for even when I was in Thessalonica, you sent me aid more than once when I was in need.

(Galatians 6:9) Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.
