2 Corinthians 6:11-13 MSG: Dear, dear Corinthians, I can’t tell you how much I long for you to enter this wide-open, spacious life. We didn’t fence you in. The smallness you feel comes from within you. Your lives aren’t small, but you’re living them in a small way. I’m speaking as plainly as I can and with great affection. Open up your lives. John 15:4 ESV: Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in me.(MULTILINE REVEAL TINY)

 

Make a habit of being with God in the secret place.(MULTILINE)

 

The Two Main Components of the Secret Place:

 

  • Eat God’s Word(MULTILINE REVEAL TINY)

 

  • Talk to Him(MULTILINE REVEAL TINY)

 

Matthew 4:4 NIV: Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.’”(MULTILINE REVEAL TINY)

The logical outcome of this type of culture is a society that prioritizes speed over substance, convenience over quality, and immediate satisfaction over long-term fulfillment. This can lead to impatience, a diminished capacity for delayed gratification, superficial relationships, decreased resilience, and a lack of appreciation for processes that require time, effort, and intentionality. Ultimately, it fosters a mindset that struggles with depth, sustainability, and meaningful connections.

1 Corinthians 3:1-2 NLT: Dear brothers and sisters, when I was with you I couldn’t talk to you as I would to spiritual people. I had to talk as though you belonged to this world or as though you were infants in Christ. I had to feed you with milk, not with solid food, because you weren’t ready for anything stronger. How to Be Fed by the Word of God

 

1.  have to do the eating. No one can do it for you.(MULTILINE)
