Big Topics Big Answers: Giants After The Flood?
March 19, 2025 / Findlay First Assembly of GodBig Topics Big Answers: Where Did the Nephilim Come After the Flood?
Genesis 6:1 When man began to multiply on the face of the land and daughters were born to them, 2 the sons of God saw that the daughters of man were attractive. And they took as their wives any they chose. 3 Then the Lord said, “My Spirit shall not abide in man forever, for he is flesh: his days shall be 120 years.” 4 The Nephilim were on the earth in those days, and also afterward when the sons of God came into the daughters of man and they bore children to them. These were the mighty men who were of old, the men of renown.
I. Understanding Blood: The Spiritual Significance
“But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.” — Genesis 2:17 (KJV)
From the beginning, we learn that the penalty for sin is death.
-
- Adam and Eve ate the fruit but NEVER DIED ON THE SPOT PHYSICALLY, why was that?
- They did day in the “day” as the Lord counts days – Adam was
- 2 Peter 3:8 With the Lord one day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years like one day.
- Adam died at the age of 930, just short of one day, or on the same 1000-year day he ate the forbidden fruit.
- The reason is everything happens in the spiritual first
- And then is made manifest in the physical.
- We first die spiritually, in the eyes of God,
- Blood is a covering, propitiation, atonement, and remission for sin and death.
- Because life is in the blood. Leviticus 17:11
- The Hebrew word here for life is Nephesh – SOUL
- Gen 2:7 – “And the Eternal God formed man of the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.”
- Man became a living soul; that is what man is – a soul.
- The scripture did not say that man has a soul, but that man is a soul.
- And then is made manifest in the physical.
- Not to consume blood – except in the case of the blood of Jesus
- In John 6:53–58, Jesus says, “Very truly I tell you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you. Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise them up on the last day.
- Jesus was speaking of a Holy infusion by the faith of His blood into our Spirit man
- When His blood is consumed by faith we are transformed spiritually from death to eternal life, with a new nature and His blood speaks in us to the Father that we are His have his image and His nature.
- Fallen Angels have attempted to reproduce this to have image bearers of their own, before the flood and after; and soon in the human hybridization of the ten kings, antichrist.
- This will appear also in the genetically enhanced blood of humans and in what is called Transhumanism, where high-tech and AI will be combined with the brain and biology.
- Revelation 9:6. ESV And in those days people will seek death and will not find it. They will long to die, but death will flee from them.
- They did day in the “day” as the Lord counts days – Adam was
- Adam and Eve ate the fruit but NEVER DIED ON THE SPOT PHYSICALLY, why was that?
- Blood has a connection to both the spiritual realm and the Natural realm.
- This is why blood is used in every pagan ritual, witchcraft, sorcery, the evil tales of vampires, and werewolves, and every major religion of the world in history.
- Blood is both natural and supernatural at the same time.
- Blood has information in the natural realm – DNA and speaks to biological life to be ordered a certain way – which reflects the image of parents.
- Blood has information that speaks to God and contains information that reflects life and death to the image bearer of God on Earth.
- The blood of Jesus has the supernatural power to overcome the devil
- Revelation 12:11 And they OVERCAME HIM BY THE BLOOD OF THE LAMB, and by the word of their testimony, and they loved not their lives unto the death.
II. Understanding Seed: The Spiritual Significance
- Seed is how spiritual life enters the natural world.
- Without seed, there would be no blood.
- Without blood, there would be no soul or life.
- Without both there is no connection to both realms.
- Seed connects the natural to the supernatural.
- This is a law for as long as the Earth remains.
- Genesis 8:22 As long as the Earth remains seed time and harvest.
- Seed has a spiritual journey that tells a supernatural story.
- From Supernatural (Spiritual Realm) To Earth (Natural Realm)
- From the ground to inside the ground ( Life to Death)
- From inside the ground (death) to resurrection from the ground (abundant life)
III. If a seed ever produces fruit, it must first fall, to the ground, die, and be planted (buried), in the ground. (John 12:24).
- Jesus is this seed, that came down from Heaven to the Earth
- From the Earth to the Ground or Grave,
- From the grave to Ressurection and Ascension.
- This is how spiritual things enter the natural realm,
- Change the natural realm
- To become like the spiritual realm. (abundance)
- Seed connects the supernatural with the natural world.
- Shed blood is a curse from the ground. Genesis 4:9-12, Cain is cursed from the ground for murdering his brother. The ground cries out to God because innocent blood was shed.
- Through Jesus – Shed blood is a blessing from the ground of abundant life.
- YOU CAN NOT ENTER or SPEAK THE SPIRITUAL REALM ASIDE FROM BLOOD.
- YOU CAN NOT ENTER OR SPEAK THE NATURAL REALM ASIDE FROM SEED.
- By Seed, you enter and SPEAK TO the natural realm from the Spiritual Realm
- JESUS SAID, LUKE 8:11 “THE SEED IS THE WORD OF GOD.”
- By Blood, you enter and SPEAK TO the Supernatural Realm FROM THE NATURAL RELM.
- Hebrews 12:24 “To Jesus, the mediator of a new covenant, and to the sprinkled blood that speaks a better word than the blood of Abel” (Heb. 12:24).
- By Seed, you enter and SPEAK TO the natural realm from the Spiritual Realm
IV. Introduction to the Seed War
- The seed war originates from Genesis 3:15, where God declares enmity between the serpent’s and woman’s seeds.
- Genesis 3:14-15 (KJV) “And the Lord God said unto the serpent … I will put enmity ( hostility and war) between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.”
- This verse is often interpreted as the first prophecy of the Bible.
- The First Gospel mention – Proto-evangelium
- Genesis 3:14-15 (KJV) “And the Lord God said unto the serpent … I will put enmity ( hostility and war) between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.”
-
- Messianic Prophecy: The ultimate fulfillment in Jesus Christ, who:
- Is born of a woman without an earthly father (virgin birth)
- Suffers temporarily (bruised heel) through crucifixion.
- Decisively defeats Satan (crushes the serpent’s head) through the cross.
- The seed is the word that came into the natural from the supernatural and spoke to the natural.
- The blood from the natural was shed in the natural and spoke to the supernatural
- Messianic Prophecy: The ultimate fulfillment in Jesus Christ, who:
- Nephelim Prophecy: – Ultimate fulfillment in the Anti-Christ
- Nephal – Plural Hebrew for Fallen ones.
V. The Nephilim Before the Flood
- Origins of the Nephilim
- The “sons of God – Bena Elohim” and “daughters of men” (Genesis 6:1-4)
- Called by Enochian Books, The Watchers
- Enoch also mentioned that the watchers taught mankind witchcraft, warcraft, and other destructive.
- The term “watchers” appears in the book of Daniel, wherein Daniel 4:13, 17, 23,
- Nebuchadnezzar describes seeing a “watcher, a holy one” come down from heaven in a dream.
- Scholars believe the “watchers, holy ones” may reflect the influence of Babylonian religion.
- The “Nephilim” are the offspring of fallen angels, Watchers, and humans.
I Enoch 7:1b Humans are taught magic and other forbidden knowledge: And they taught them charms and spells, and showed them the cutting of roots and trees (i.e., medicine)
If you consider the many megalithic objects placed around the world. They are in perfect alignment with certain stars and built with precision that could not be matched by our tech even today, you discover that the antediluvian humans got a jump start from somewhere.
- The megalithic stones of Blabec
- Egyptian Pyramids
- Yogaguni Monumet Under water Japan
- Machu Picchu, Peru
This happened after the flood too with the building of the Tower of Babel.
1 Enoch 7:2 And they (=the human women) became pregnant and bore large giants, and their height [was] three thousand cubits. 7:3 These devoured all the toil of men until men were unable to sustain them. 7:4 And the giants turned against them in order to devour men. 7:5 And they began to sin against birds, and against animals, and against reptiles and against fish, and they devoured one another’s flesh and drank the blood from it. 7:6 Then the earth complained about the lawless ones.
- Romans 8:22 For we know that the whole creation has been groaning together in the pains of childbirth until now.
- Corruption of the Earth
-
- Widespread wickedness leading to the flood (Genesis 6:5-7)
- Genetic contamination of humans.
VI. Note: The response of God is Mercy – The Flood and Its Aftermath
- God’s judgment through the flood is an act of mercy that saves humanity and the rest of God’s creation in an Ark.
- Destruction of all flesh except Noah’s family and the animals in the Ark.
- Second Peter 2:5 states that all of the ungodly were wiped out in Noah’s flood.
- Genesis 7 in multiple verses confirms that indeed all of humanity and all soulish creatures associated with humanity, except for those on board the ark, were killed.
- Thus, the Nephilim did not survive the flood catastrophe.
VII. The Ongoing Seed War
-
- Genesis 6:4 reads, “The Nephilim were on the earth in those days and also afterward when the sons of God went to the daughters of humans and had children by them. They were the heroes of old, men of renown.”
- In support of this, Heiser notes that Genesis 6:4 could be translated: “The Nephilim were on the earth in those days – and also afterward – whenever (not simply when) the sons of God went to the daughters of human beings and had children by them.”
- Genesis 6:4 reads, “The Nephilim were on the earth in those days and also afterward when the sons of God went to the daughters of humans and had children by them. They were the heroes of old, men of renown.”
- Reappearance of the Nephilim
-
-
- Mention of giants after the flood (Numbers 13:33)
- Numbers 13:33 We saw the Nephilim there (the descendants of Anak come from the Nephilim). We seemed like grasshoppers in our own eyes, and we looked the same to them.”
-
- Conquest of Canaan…..AND ALSO AFTER THAT.
-
- Satan had to attempt to corrupt the genome of the entire human race to prevent the coming of Messiah (prophesied to be a human descendant of Adam/Eve; Gen 3:15).
- So he could focus his plan to corrupt the human genome to that of the Jewish race.
- This is why God told the children of Israel over and over, again and again, to not take wives of foreign nations.
- The results would be idolatry and contamination of the seed line of the Messiah who would be born of Mary.
- Satan had to attempt to corrupt the genome of the entire human race to prevent the coming of Messiah (prophesied to be a human descendant of Adam/Eve; Gen 3:15).
- Understanding this fact makes comprehensible God’s command forbidding
-
- Intermarriage with,
- And the command for the utter destruction of, the
- Canaanites, Amorites, and associated tribes dwelling in the Promised Land (cf. Deut7:1-3),
- Since they were contaminated like the Nephilim (even the women and children!).
- God’s command to destroy the tribes in Canaan was for the same reason, and to accomplish the same purpose, as the Flood of Noah;
VIII. Spiritual Implications
- The seed war is a metaphor for ongoing spiritual conflict from Genesis 3:15.
- Jesus is the ultimate fulfillment of the woman’s seed, supernaturally given by the Holy Spirit from the Spiritual realm – the incarnation
- This seed produced a holy unblemished bloodline, without the inherent sinful nature of Adam.
- Satan has sought and continues to seek a bloodline that reflects his fallen image in man.
- Therefore the seed war is ongoing and will continue in the tribulation period.
IX. The Nephilim and End Times
- Some interpretations suggest that the Nephilim could reappear during the end times, based on Jesus’ words in Matthew 24:37: “As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man”
- In Greek, the words “for as” at the beginning of that verse, mean accordingly and in the same identical manner, and it unmistakably pictures a duplicate event.
- The phrase “in the days that were” literally means as they were in the very exact days,
- By using this combination of words, Jesus let us know that He was describing regular life in the very exact days directly before the unleashing of the Flood.
- THE DAYS OF NOAH. Matthew and Luke both go on to record Jesus as saying, “For as in the days that were before the flood they were . . . marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark” (Matt24:38; Cp., Luk17:27).
- Business as Usual? Most have understood these words to mean that life in the antediluvian world was entirely normal, even mundane,
- The problem with such an understanding is that the Genesis 6 account of the conditions that set the stage for the Flood of Noah does not describe a normal, ordinary, mundane scenario.
- The context found there for God judging the entire world with a Flood that destroyed all but eight persons is “that the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair, and they took them wives of all whom they chose” (Gen 6:2)
- Note that Jesus’ words made specific mention of “marriage” and “giving in marriage”, Matt 24:38).
- Ancient Jewish and early Christian commentators uniformly understood “the sons of God” to be a reference to angels (Cp., Job 1:6; 2:1; 38:6),
- So widespread was this angelic activity that threatened to utterly corrupt the human race, making the prophesied the coming of Messiah to redeem mankind moot.
- It was for this reason that God destroyed all flesh in the Flood (Gen 6:17),
- And called the Children of Israel to wipe out the Canaanites and the Giants in the promised land.
- To save Noah who was “perfect in his generations” (i.e., genetically uncorrupted; Gen 6:9), and imprisoned those fallen angels that had participated in this diabolical plan.
- 2 Pet 2:4-5; Jude 6-7
X. THe Future Seed of the Serpent
- The very first prophecy recorded in the Bible is Genesis 3:15. God declared, “And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; he shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel”.
- This verse prophesies the coming of two persons:
- 1) the seed of the woman, which is Christ,
- and 2) the seed of the serpent, which will be the Antichrist.
- When Christ came, he was genetically a unique mixture of divine seed with a human egg, the Son of Man and the Son of God, God-man, Hypostatic Union:
- Similarly, when the Antichrist comes, he will be a genetic mixture of Satan’s angelic seed with a human seed, a Nephilim. ( fallen one )
- It is for this reason that both Daniel and Revelation refer to Antichrist as “the beast”, for he will not be (entirely) human.
- Also, 2 Thessalonians 2:3 calls him the “son of perdition”
- The word perdition means “eternal damnation” or “utter destruction.” It can also be used as a synonym for hell.
- When a person is called the “son of perdition,” is in an unredeemable state, someone who is already damned while he is still alive.
- ( Unredeemable like the spirits of the Nephilim are disembodied demons doomed for hell)
- Daniel’s Prophecy and “Mingling of Seed”
- Daniel 2:43 has a cryptic reference to “mingling with the seed of men”
- Some interpreters connect this passage to the potential return of Nephilim:
- Iron and Clay: The passage describes a kingdom suggesting an unnatural or unstable combination.
- Potential Nephilim Connection: Some speculative interpretations suggest that the “they” who mingle with the “seed of men” could refer to non-human entities, possibly fallen angels or their offspring
- The Anti-Christ will be one of them and will be the seed of the serpent – mimicking and imitating Jesus in every way
- World Leader: Savior of the World, Prince of Peace
- Resurrection – A head wound, received from an apparent fatal wound.
- Signs and wonders: The Antichrist will perform miracles and signs to deceive people.
- Worship: The Antichrist will try to get people to worship him as the Messiah.
- Thus, when Daniel prophesies that these ten angelic principalities will “mingle themselves with the seed of men” (Dan 2:43),
- He is talking about yet another incursion of angels upon the earth to produce Nephilim, including, but not limited to, the Antichrist.
When we by faith receive the blood of Jesus.
- His body and His blood sustain us and conform us to the image of the Son.
- We depend on His life-giving blood as in him we live and move and have our being.
- Apart from Him, we can do nothing!
- His Super is connected with our Natural and we have supernatural living.
- Our flesh dies, and our mind is renewed by the word, Our Spirit lives because he lives!
