Waiting – For Further Instructions

Joshua 5 – 6

Wait for the Lord; Be strong and let your heart take courage; Yes, wait for the Lord.  Psalm 27:14

Truth: God has never been or , and He certainly has the power to change our – so – the problem is when we want .

Perhaps we misunderstand what is all about!

Waiting is not – it is an – it is directing our toward God – and His movement.

Our responsibility is to Him – and – this might be the root cause of our difficulty with waiting.

Why is it wise to wait on God?

1^st Because God gives clear only when we are willing to wait.

Often, the longer God takes to give , the more He has to you.

3^rd Because God uses the time of waiting to us for the answer.

Rest in the Lord and wait patiently for Him; Psalm 37:7a

And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose. For those whom He foreknew, He also predestined to become conformed to the image of His Son, so that He would be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters;  Romans 8:28-29

Are there consequences for not waiting?

• We get of God’s will.
• Failing to wait brings .
• We miss some of life’s greatest .

Are there rewards for waiting?

The Lord is good to those who await Him, To the person who seeks Him. Lamentations 3:25

He gives strength to the weary, And to the one who lacks might He increases power. Though youths grow weary and tired, And vigorous young men stumble badly, Yet those who wait for the Lord Will gain new strength; They will mount up with wings like eagles, They will run and not get tired, They will walk and not become weary.  Isaiah 40:29-31
