Day 1: God’s Sovereign Hand in Our Suffering

Read: Genesis 37:23-28, Romans 8:28, 2 Corinthians 4:17

Background: Joseph’s brothers, driven by jealousy, threw him into a pit and sold him to traders heading to Egypt. What seemed like a tragedy was actually the beginning of God’s greater plan.

Theological Truths:

  • “There is not one piece of cosmic dust that is outside the scope of God’s sovereign plan.” – R.C. Sproul
