“Who hath delivered us…”
–Delivered from a Power We Could Not Escape
–Delivered by a Savior We Could Not Replace
Deliverance is not the result of:
-Religion
-Reformation
-Resolution or
-Ritual
Deliverance is the work of a Redeemer.
–Delivered with a Certainty We Cannot Reverse
Through Christ, the believer’s deliverance is:
-Complete
-Certain
-Continuous

THE TREASURE OF OUR DOMINION CHANGE
“…from the power of darkness…”
–The Domain We Were Under
This domain is characterized by:
-Spiritual Darkness
-Moral Darkness
-Emotional Darkness
-Eternal Darkness
–The Devil We Were Serving
The Devil:
-the prince of darkness
-the god of this world
-the father of lies
-the ruler of the darkness of this world
–The Deliverance We Are Given

THE TREASURE OF OUR DIVINE CITIZENSHIP
“…and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son.”
–A Transfer with a New Position
This kingdom is characterized by:
-Righteousness
-Peace
-Joy
-Holiness
-Divine Authority
–A Transfer with a New Prince
The Prince of this kingdom:
-left His throne to enter our world
-left His glory to share in our grief
-left His riches to experience our reality
-left eternity to engage with our earthly experience
–A Transfer with a New Purpose
Being translated into His kingdom signifies that we now live:
-by His values
-for His glory
-under His leadership
-with His priorities
-through His power

THE TRUE TREASURES OF CHRISTMAS
Because of the truth found in Colossians 1:13, we can boldly proclaim:
-We are delivered!
-We are free!
-We are citizens of the King!
