John 8:36 (CSB) So if the Son sets you free, you really will be free.
If you are struggling to from something holding you captive… it’s probably because you .
Romans 12:2 (CSB) Do not be conformed to this age, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may discern what is the good, pleasing, and perfect will of God.
Before you can it, you’ve got to it!
Trying to change something without the of will leave you exhausted, depleted, and discouraged.
So is making you tired?
Being tired is not a bad thing, it’s a natural thing. It’s an indication that you’re .
Being tired is only a bad thing when you and have to show for it.
Haggai 1:5-9 (CSB) Now, the Lord of Armies says this: “Think carefully about your ways: 6 You have planted much but harvested little.
You eat but never have enough to be satisfied. You drink but never have enough to be happy. You put on clothes but never have enough to get warm.
The wage earner puts his wages into a bag with a hole in it.” 7 The Lord of Armies says this: “Think carefully about your ways. 8 Go up into the hills, bring down lumber, and build the house; and I will be pleased with it and be glorified,” says the Lord. 9 “You expected much, but then it amounted to little. When you brought the harvest to your house, I ruined it. Why?” This is the declaration of the Lord of Armies. “Because my house still lies in ruins, while each of you is busy with his own house.
Life is too short to not be enjoyed and filled with .
John 10:10 (CSB) A thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I have come so that they may have life and have it in abundance.
It’s easy to confuse with because we often think that “” is abundance.
Luke 10:38-42 (CSB) While they were traveling, he entered a village, and a woman named Martha welcomed him into her home. 39 She had a sister named Mary, who also sat at the Lord’s feet and was listening to what he said. 40 But Martha was distracted by her many tasks, and she came up and asked, “Lord, don’t you care that my sister has left me to serve alone? So tell her to give me a hand.” 41 The Lord answered her, “Martha, Martha, you are worried and upset about many things, 42 but one thing is necessary. Mary has made the right choice, and it will not be taken away from her.”
Abundance does not mean and !
Abundance means you are , , and overflowing with God’s blessings and His “” over His “”.
The insecurity of busyness is a monster that hides itself in “good deeds”. But those “good deeds” are running you ragged and in the process of taking care of everyone else, you have forgotten how to take care of you. Those you love are drawing from an empty well because you don’t have anything else you can offer except “stuff” over “”.
The of busyness slowly wears you down to the point you become .
It makes you feel alive in the moment, accomplishing all the “things” on your to do list, but in the end, nothing was truly accomplished because you are operating from a place of not a place of .
When we operate from a place of abundance it is from and fulfills us.
When we operate from our own strength, we will eventually be .
Discover the blessing of being .
Psalm 46:10 (CSB) “Stop fighting, and know that I am God, exalted among the nations, exalted on the earth.”
We fight so hard to recreate a season of happiness and fulfillment that we never realize how exhausting it is. Recreating a season of happiness is just a cheap copy that limits you from the fresh new of today.
This fight creates a whole new prison of living in the past that we become blind to the God has for us in the present moment.
You must stop yesterday.
Psalm 39:1-8 (CSB) I said, “I will guard my ways so that I may not sin with my tongue; I will guard my mouth with a muzzle as long as the wicked are in my presence.” 2 I was speechless and quiet; I kept silent, even from speaking good, and my pain intensified. 3 My heart grew hot within me; as I mused, a fire burned. I spoke with my tongue: 4 “Lord, make me aware of my end and the number of my days so that I will know how short-lived I am. 5 In fact, you have made my days just inches long, and my life span is as nothing to you. Yes, every human being stands as only a vapor. Selah 6 Yes, a person goes about like a mere shadow. Indeed, they rush around in vain, gathering possessions without knowing who will get them. 7 “Now, Lord, what do I wait for? My hope is in you. 8 Rescue me from all my transgressions; do not make me the taunt of fools.
Being still means that we . You’ve been fighting a fight that may not even be . So put down the javelin and take off the “” hat and stop fighting tomorrow’s shadow.
All God ever wants from you is for you to Him by Him and being totally for Him.
is a term that includes being .
If you’re not because your day is with so much , God cannot use you in the moments that have .
After being still comes the “”.
John 20:29 (CSB) Jesus said, “Because you have seen me, you have believed. Blessed are those who have not seen and yet believe.”
The true blessing is not in what we see, but in what we and believe wholeheartedly.
2 Corinthians 5:7 (CSB) For we walk by faith, not by sight.
Hebrews 11:6 (CSB) Now without faith it is impossible to please God, since the one who draws near to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.
The priority in your faith is to keep Jesus in every area of your life.
When Jesus comes , your relationship with Him is then .
Matthew 6:33 (CSB) But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be provided for you.
It’s when we move our relationship with God from being our first priority to a relationship only when we have the time for Him… that is when we begin to in the knowing.
Our faith is shaken when we have elevated something into a .
Colossians 3:23 (CSB) Whatever you do, do it from the heart, as something done for the Lord and not for people,
“How is my faith in God?”
It’s one thing to “” in God; it’s another to “” God.
Satan is totally cool with you in God… he does too! Satan doesn’t want you to God.
Isaiah 59:1-2 (CSB) Indeed, the Lord’s arm is not too weak to save, and his ear is not too deaf to hear. 2 But your iniquities are separating you from your God,
and your sins have hidden his face from you so that he does not listen.
Knowing comes when you and put God back in a .
Revelation 2:2-5 (CSB) I know your works, your labor, and your endurance, and that you cannot tolerate evil people. You have tested those who call themselves apostles and are not, and you have found them to be liars. 3 I know that you have persevered and endured hardships for the sake of my name, and you have not grown weary. 4 But I have this against you: You have abandoned the love you had at first. 5 Remember then how far you have fallen; repent, and do the works you did at first. Otherwise, I will come to you and remove your lampstand from its place, unless you repent.
