“The Backstory”

January 11, 2026 / Pastor Lance Gentry / Exodus 1:1-7 / Cross & Crown Church

Four transcendent truths to keep in mind as we study the book of Exodus:

1. Every story has an important backstory (vv. 1-6)

2. God is always faithful to fulfill His promises (v. 7)

3. God is the central figure of Exodus, the Bible, and all things

4. Exodus reveals important gospel patterns of redemption and deliverance
