Desiring God’s Word

1 Peter 2:1

Therefore, putting aside all malice and all deceit and hypocrisy and envy and all slander,

–

1 Peter 2:2

like newborn babies, long for the pure milk of the word, so that by it you may grow in respect to salvation,

–

1 Peter 2:3

if you have tasted the kindness of the Lord.

–

In these verses Peter is telling us, we must desire the word of God because of the blessings the word accomplishes in our lives.

First we will look at what would hinder us from desiring the word. Then we will look at what we will gain, what would motivate us, and then what it looks like when we desire the word of God.
