Q) What will we do with what God sparks inside of us?

We talk Revival!

Example Baptism!

1. Ignited: New identity in Christ

2. Reignited: Recommitment to Christ

Revival doesn’t happen until the thing inside of you is loosed and leads to movement.

New Series:

Let Loose: Unleashing what God has reignited” Unleashing = Movement!!

  • Not just a series but a prophetic instruction.

You can be spiritually alive but still wrapped in the remnants of your past. Jesus doesn’t just raise you—He frees you to move forward unbound.

Today’s Message: Come Forth!

Story of Lazarus:

  • Jesus’ Friend
  • Raised from the dead!

John 11:38-44 (ESV) Jesus Raises Lazarus

John 11:43 (NKJV)

The Context is death; but the command is destiny!

  • Lazarus Jesus’s friend and “the one whom He loved.”
  • Lazarus: “God has helped.”
  • Lazarus dead four days. His body sealed behind a stone.
  • People gave up hope.
  • Death entombed his identity.

BUT…

  • Lazarus became a living witness: Carried evidence of God’s power.
  • He never needed a title or platform.
  • His very existence threatened the status quo and drew people to Jesus.
  • Walking proof of God’s victory over death.

(MULTILINE REVEAL SMALL)

Jesus didn’t speak just to the situation – He spoke to the man.

What Jesus Spoke was…“Lazarus, come forth!”

Jesus never extended Lazarus an invitation to be resurrected. It was a thundering command from heaven that awakened his identity, authority, and purpose.

(MULTILINE REVEAL SMALL)

1. Identity: Friend of Jesus

John 11:3 (NIV)

  • Lazarus not just follower: “the one Jesus loved.”
  • Lazarus (Hebrew Eleazar) “God has helped” prophetic before miracle.
  • Household: Mary and Martha: Hosted Jesus regularly.
  • His home: resting place for Jesus: A place of intimacy and welcome.

Lazarus’ identity wasn’t in what he did for Jesus—it was in his relationship with Him. (known, seen, and loved before he got sick or died)

We are loved before we are useful. Our identity is not built in the grave, it’s rooted in the heart of Jesus.”

(MULTILINE REVEAL SMALL)

2. Restored Authority: Lazarus was a walking sign and wonder!

  • Many of you are as well!!!

John 12:10-11 (NIV)

  • Lazarus was a living witness to Jesus’ power!
  • He now was a threat:

The religious leaders wanted to kill him again—not because he preached, but because he was proof!

  • He carried authority in his story and so do you!!

Lazarus didn’t need a pulpit; he was the sermon. “Your scars are not shameful, they are signs. When God brings you out, your very life carries spiritual weight and authority over what once buried you.”

(MULTILINE REVEAL SMALL)

3. Spirit Empowered Purpose: Draw People to Jesus!

John 12:11 (NIV)

  • Lazarus’ resurrection. wasn’t just personal—it was evangelistic.
  • His testimony is an extension of Jesus’ ministry—even without words.

Jesus not only displayed His power over death but unleashed a ripple effect of belief that stirred the region.

John 12:17 (NIV)

  • His new purpose was to ignite belief everywhere his story went.

Spirit-empowered purpose means walking in such a level of visible transformation that others believe because they see you alive.

You were not just raised to live; you were raised to lead others to the same Jesus who called you forth!

The Lazarus story is not just about resurrection—it’s about the restoration of a voice, a man, a mission that was buried too soon.

(MULTILINE REVEAL SMALL)

Lazarus represents more than a man—he is a symbol of:

  • Dormant callings
  • Paralyzed ministries
  • Silenced voices
  • Stalled assignments

Jesus didn’t just raise Lazarus to prove He could conquer death. He raised Lazarus to restore a testimony—to show that what God has ordained cannot be buried permanently. Lazarus was not just resurrected—he was re-commissioned.

God is not just calling people back to life; He’s calling them out of the tomb and commanding that the things still binding them be let loose.

Some things I also noticed

The Stone Wasn’t the Final Word!

John 11:39 (ESV)

  • Stone represented finality. 4 days dead!
  • Some of you have been written off—by others or even yourself.

A prophetic word to our house:

I believe God is removing the “stone” that’s been blocking your promise. Some need to stop agreeing with what God has already decided to overturn.

  • “God is not done! The stone was never the end!”

(MULTILINE REVEAL SMALL)

I noticed:

Jesus called Lazarus by name

John 11:43 (NKJV)

  • God is personal
  • Some people are not dead—they’re just waiting for the right voice to call
  • “COME FORTH”: Prophetic – calling destiny forward.

When Jesus speaks your name, everything else must move.

(MULTILINE REVEAL SMALL)

I noticed:

You Can Be Resurrected And Still Bound

John 11:44 (NIV)

  • Lazarus was alive—but he’s still wrapped in the evidence of his past identity!

(MULTILINE REVEAL SMALL)

I noticed:

Jesus gave instructions

John 11:44 (NIV)

  • To the People!
  • Today, Your Church family!

Some are…

  • Bound by insecurity
  • Wrapped in fear
  • Stuck in past trauma
  • Paralyzed by religious expectation
  • Your church stands with you!!

What may be wrapped around you, God never put on you?

(MULTILINE REVEAL SMALL)

I noticed:

Jesus concludes with a command to Release!

John 11:44 (ESV)

  • Our church needs to participate in others’ freedom! BAPTISM!
  • Revival isn’t complete until people are loosed to walk out their calling.

Lazarus was not just resurrected; he was re-commissioned, and so are you! Original Identity, Restored Authority, Spirit Empowered Purpose
