You can hit a target… and still miss your life.
Everyone ends up somewhere

• Few people end up somewhere on purpose
• Vision determines the target

WITHOUT VISION, LIFE LOSES DIRECTION

Proverbs 29:18 (ESV)
18 Where there is no prophetic vision the people cast off restraint, but blessed is he who keeps the law.

A person without vision becomes a slave to their reality.

Mark 12:30–31 (ESV)
30 And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’ 31 The second is this: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.”

THE RIGHT TARGET — MAN’S CHIEF PURPOSE

Key Statement:
Before God ever called us to do anything, He called us to glorify Him and enjoy Him forever.
Vision starts with relationship, not achievement.

Scripture:
Psalm 16:11 (ESV)
11 You make known to me the path of life; in your presence there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore.

VISION COMES FROM GOD’S VOICE

1 I will take my stand at my watchpost and station myself on the tower, and look out to see what he will say to me, and what I will answer concerning my complaint. 2 And the Lord answered me: “Write the vision; make it plain on tablets, so he may run who reads it. 3 For still the vision awaits its appointed time; it hastens to the end—it will not lie. If it seems slow, wait for it; it will surely come; it will not delay. 4 “Behold, his soul is puffed up; it is not upright within him, but the righteous shall live by his faith.
