John 4: 1-42
Jesus, the Living Water is for EVERYONE – including a sexually scarred, sinful, outcasted Samaritan woman. And as the 1st and greatest missionary, Jesus Christ, the Living Water, transforms this woman’s life; and in turn she impacts her village for Jesus.
As Jesus takes his disciples on a road trip towards the northern part of Israel, away from Jerusalem, he takes an unexpected route. Jesus has a divine appointment with a Samaritan woman who is thirsty for Living water.
Notice in the text how Jesus shows His disciples (and shows us today) how to live as a missionary, and impact our world for Jesus.
4 ways Jesus models for us how to be a missionary:
1.) Jesus the lost (John 4:4, 7-15)
• Jesus crossed barriers. (John 4:4)
• Jesus crossed barriers. (John 4:7-9a,27)
• Jesus crossed barriers. (John 4:9b)
2.) Jesus His deity (John 4:19-26)
3.) Jesus the disciples (John 4: 27-38)
4.) Jesus the city (John 4:39-42)
Impact Point – Look for 1 person this week, and offer them a of the Living Water of Jesus Christ.

John 3:22-36
Have you ever felt overlooked when someone else got the credit? John’s disciples did. When Christ’s fame rises and mine falls, do I get jealous, or can I really rejoice?
1) The best man’s (John 3:22-30)
2) The Bridegroom’s (John 3:31-36)
The Supremacy of Jesus:
– The of Jesus – compels you to get low (John 3:31)
– The of Jesus – compels you to listen (John 3:32-34a)
– The of Jesus – compels you to be filled (John 3:34b)
– The of Jesus – compels you to submit to the King (John 3:35)
Impact Point – Joyfully give Jesus of your heart and life.

Look and Live
John 3: 1-21
Jesus has a late-night conversation with one of the leading Jewish religious leaders of his day. Nicodemus was impressed with the miracles/signs/wonders Jesus had done, so in order to protect his reputation amongst other religious leaders he comes to Jesus at night, for a discussion about theology.
Jesus turns the tables, from this being a casual conversation about religion, to an evangelistic confrontation about the kingdom.
Notice from the text what God does to get us into His Kingdom, and how we can experience eternal life.
Look:
1 – The Spirit (John 3:1-12)
2 – The Son (John 3:13-14)
3 – The hearer (John 3:15-21)
Impact Point – Be by the Spirit and by the Son by your soul on Jesus.

Beautiful Feet and the Joyful Privilege of Evangelizing the Nations and our Neighbors
Romans 10:1-15
The mission of God is to bring people from every tribe, tongue, people, and nation to a right relationship with Himself through His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ. God sent Jesus to be the Savior through which the whole world can be saved from sin and death.
Now, we who have believed this Gospel – bear the joyful privilege of getting the Goodnews of Jesus to people all over the world. And those who go and tell, have beautiful feet.
Look:
In Romans 10 we see the Apostle Paul give the church gathered in Rome, and the church gathered in Shelby County, a theology of evangelism and missions.
If Westwood is going to be faithful to the Lord Jesus Christ and obey His command to make disciples of all nations, notice from Romans 10 how we are to be effective in fulfilling the Great Commission.
1) with tears (Romans 10:1; 9:1-3)
2) the Gospel to everyone (Romans 10:2-13)
3) a SENT life (Romans 10:14-15)
Impact Point – One . One . Keep Sharing the Gospel!

Jesus the Greater Small-town Wedding Caterer
John 2: 1-12
In his first miracle, Jesus proves that He is God by turning water into wine. Jesus steps onto the stage of a small-town community wedding celebration and signals that the long-awaited Bridegroom of Israel has arrive.
The promised Bridegroom-Creator turns ritual wash-water into a type of new covenant wine that reveals His divine glory and calls His disciples – and us – to believe in Him.
Notice in the text 3 things Jesus is doing through this miracle, and what this means for us today.
Look:
1 – Jesus New Creation (John 2: 1-4)
2 – Jesus New Covenant life (John 2: 5-8)
3 – Jesus to His glory (John 2: 9-11)
Impact Point – Jesus your empty jar—and the better wine He provides.

The Open Invitation: “Come and See”
John 1:35-51
When several of John the Baptist’s followers turn to Jesus, their choice sets off a ripple effect: they rush to the people they care about and invite them to “Come and see!”
In this passage, we discover 2 simple evangelism principles which are easy to grasp, yet able to shape future generations with the Gospel.
Look:

3 Action Steps to Reach Family:
1. Pray for Daily 3
2. “Sit with me”
3. Podcast and Coffee
2 – introduce to Jesus (John 1:43-51)
2 Realities:
1 – God seeks and saves us (Lk 19:10; Rom 3:11; Eph 2:1)
2 – God uses messengers (Rom 10:14-17)
Impact Point – 1) a friend. 2) for coffee/lunch. 3) them to Westwood.

John 1:19-34
John the Baptist provides for us a pattern for our witness as followers of Jesus. Though we do not share John’s unique prophetic office or practice the same type of baptism he did, we can still learn from his life and ministry how to impact our world for Jesus.
Notice from John the Baptist’s ministry – 2 ways you can impact your world for Jesus:
1) the spotlight away from you (John 1:19-28)
2) all attention to Jesus (John 1:29-34)
Impact Point – Commit to being a in 2026 and beyond! (See John 1:34)

John 1:14-18
John is introducing Jesus as the eternal Word of God, who is preexistent, the Creator of the Universe, the Source of Life and Light. When we believe upon Him, we experience a new birth, we are born of God.
Jesus is the eternal Word of God who came into our world and “pitched His tent” among us. He is the unique Son of God who left the Father’s side, and has personally made the invisible God known to us.
Notice how John describes the nature and essence of Jesus, and what this means for us today.
1) The of God is on display in Jesus. (John 1:14, 18)
Jesus shares our humanity…
– Jesus experienced and …just like you. (Ps 41:9; Matt 26:14-16, 47-50; Mk 3:5; Lk 19:41-44; Jn 11:33-35, 13:18-21; Heb 5:7)
– Jesus experienced and …just like you. (Isa 53:3; Mk 6:3; Lk 4:28-29; John 1:11)
– Jesus experienced and …just like you. (Isa 53:5; Matt 26:40-46, 56, 27:26-31, 46; Mk 14:50, 15:24; Jn 19:1-3, 16-18, 34)
– Jesus experienced …just like you. (Matt 4:1-11; Lk 4:1-13; Heb 2:18, 4:15)
2) The of God is on display in Jesus. (John 1:16-17)
Impact Point – This Christmas: phone , show up, & be present – with people. (Matt 25:35-36; John 1:14; Rom 15:7; 1 Cor 12:26)
