Mo’Devo Day 5 – Divine Alignment: Living a God-First Life

Scripture:

“For the vision is yet for an appointed time… Though it tarry, wait for it, because it will surely come.” — Habakkuk 2:3 (AMPC)
“But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you besides.” — Matthew 6:33 (AMPC)
“Set your minds on things above, not on things on the earth.” — Colossians 3:2 (AMPC)

Reflection:
Alignment is better than acceleration. When your time is aligned with God, everything else falls into place—your relationships, your business, your peace. God is not the author of hurry; He is the architect of harmony.

Divine alignment requires three disciplines:

  1. Aligning My Time – Setting my schedule around God, not fitting Him into it.

  2. Arranging My Thoughts – Filtering my focus through faith.

  3. Arresting My Tendencies – Breaking habits of busyness and distraction.

God doesn’t rush; He aligns. And when He aligns your steps, no delay can derail your destiny.

Application:
Create a weekly rhythm that honors God—set fixed prayer or Scripture times first, then build your tasks around them. Let God be the foundation, not the afterthought.

Prayer:
Lord, bring divine alignment to every part of my life. Align my time, thoughts, and tendencies with Your will. Let my life flow in rhythm with heaven’s pace. I choose a God-first lifestyle today and every day. Amen.

Mo’Devo Day 4 – God Can Redeem Time

Scripture:

“And I will restore or replace for you the years that the locust has eaten… My great army which I sent among you.”
— Joel 2:25 (AMPC)
“And let us not lose heart or grow weary in doing right, for in due time we shall reap, if we do not faint.”
— Galatians 6:9 (AMPC)

Reflection:
When you give God your time, He can do more with little than you ever could with much. The Lord specializes in redeeming what you think you’ve lost. Missed opportunities, wasted seasons, broken focus—none of it is beyond His power to restore.

Faithfulness matters more than speed. You don’t need to race when you’re aligned with the Redeemer. God is not rushing you; He’s preparing you. Your “lost years” aren’t lost at all—they’re the soil where restoration begins.

Application:
Write down one area of your life where you feel time was “wasted.” Pray for God to redeem that area, believing He will multiply what remains.

Prayer:
Redeeming Father, thank You for being the God of second chances. Restore the years I’ve lost to distraction or delay. Teach me to use my time wisely so that every season reflects Your glory. Amen.

Mo’Devo Day 3 – The Value of Time and Priorities

Scripture:

“But the Lord replied, ‘Martha, Martha, you are anxious and troubled about many things; there is need of only one. Mary has chosen the good portion, which shall not be taken away from her.’”
— Luke 10:41–42 (AMPC)

Reflection:
Your time choices expose what—and who—you value most. Martha’s priority was activity; Mary’s was intimacy. One was anxious; the other was anchored.

In your home, your family, and your ministry, what you give time to reveals what you treasure. You can’t claim God is your priority if you give Him what’s left after the world has taken the best.

Love is spelled T-I-M-E. Whether with God, family, or others, time is the currency of care. You can’t reclaim what you mismanage, but you can redeem what you surrender.

Application:
Evaluate your calendar: How much time do you spend with God compared to work, entertainment, or social media? Rearrange one thing this week so your schedule reflects your spiritual priorities.

Prayer:
Lord, realign my priorities with Your purpose. Help me invest time in what truly matters. Let my minutes honor You, my hours glorify You, and my days bear eternal fruit. Amen.

Mo’Devo Day 2 – The Power of Pause

Scripture:

“Let be and be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations! I will be exalted in the earth! The Lord of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah [pause, and calmly think of that]!”
— Psalm 46:10–11 (AMPC)

Reflection:
“Selah” means to pause and let truth saturate your soul. But our pace often prevents us from hearing God clearly. We fill our schedules with to-do’s, leaving no time to simply be.

Stillness is not laziness—it’s alignment. When you pause, you make space for peace. When you stop striving, you start sensing. The enemy doesn’t need to destroy you if he can distract you. He just needs to keep you moving too fast to notice God’s whisper.

Learning to Selah is choosing presence over pressure. It’s learning that your value is not in how much you accomplish but in how deeply you connect.

Application:
Schedule a daily “Selah moment” — even 10 minutes of quiet reflection or prayer. Turn off notifications, breathe deeply, and allow God’s peace to refocus your soul.

Prayer:
Father, teach me the holy art of stillness. Help me pause long enough to hear You, know You, and trust You. I release my rush and receive Your rest. Amen.

Mo’Devo Day 1 – The Distraction Trap

Scripture:

“Now while they were on their way, it occurred that Jesus entered a certain village, and a woman named Martha received and welcomed Him into her house. And she had a sister named Mary, who seated herself at the Lord’s feet and was listening to His teaching. But Martha [overly occupied and too busy] was distracted with much serving.”
— Luke 10:38–40 (AMPC)

Reflection:
Busyness has become a badge of honor in our generation. We equate activity with importance and productivity with purpose. But Martha’s story reminds us that doing for Jesus is not the same as being with Jesus.

Martha wasn’t wrong for serving—she was distracted by it. Her heart was anxious, her spirit hurried, and her focus fragmented. Mary, however, chose presence over performance. She recognized that time with Jesus was the one thing that could not be taken away.

Our distractions—though often good things—can rob us of the best thing. They keep us occupied but unfulfilled, productive but spiritually parched. The altar of “My Time” is where we exchange distraction for devotion.

Application:
List your top three time consumers this week. Ask: Do these bring me closer to God or crowd Him out? Choose one to fast from for 24 hours and replace it with time in prayer or Scripture.

Prayer:
Lord, slow me down. I don’t want to be so busy doing for You that I forget to sit with You. Help me to recognize distractions disguised as duties and to prioritize Your presence over my productivity. Amen.
