Vision Sunday (on Transfiguration Sunday)

Genesis 22:2 (NLT2) “Take your son, your only son—yes, Isaac, whom you love so much—and go to the land of Moriah. Go and sacrifice him as a burnt offering on one of the mountains, which I will show you.”

• Jesus was the beloved Son who was actually going to be sacrificed

• Peter missed the point when he said

Mark 9:2–9 (ESV) And Peter said to Jesus, “Rabbi, it is good that we are here. Let us make three tents, one for you and one for Moses and one for Elijah.”

• The glory wasn’t what was supposed to

• We were not saved to in the house of God.  We are saved to .
