Is it Safe to Die?

Do you try to avoid thinking about death?   Why?

Does thinking about death cause you to feel fear?

Do you think that the fear of death can be the root of all other fears?

Do you think that the death of a person is final?        Why or why not?

Why do you think that there seems to be an almost universal belief that death is not final?

Do you think that God see human life as significant?    Why or why not?

The Sadducees’ rejection of any resurrection came from what they chose as their spiritual authority.  What authority do you choose to guide you in matters of faith?                                           Why?

Jesus’ response silenced the Sadducees.  Does it work for you?         Why or why not?

Does it bother you that there won’t be marriage in heaven?                  Can you conceive that God might supply something better than marriage in the age to come?

Does it make sense that the New Jerusalem coming to a New physical Earth might require us to have new resurrected physical bodies?               Are there other or better reasons for there to be a resurrection?
