JESUS – THE ONE & ONLY!
CLARITY IN THE CHAOS – PART 6
1. THE ACCOUNTS OF JESUS.
But these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name. John 20:31 (NIV)

2. THE REALITY OF JESUS.
Non-Christian Historical Sources:
I. A Roman Historian
• Tacitus
II. A Jewish Historian:
• Josephus
III. A Roman Governor
• Pliny the Younger
3. THE UNPARALLELLED OF JESUS.
Gregorian Calendar System:
B.C.– Before Christ –
A.D. – Anno Domini – Latin – “The year of our Lord”
4. THE FULFILLED PROPHECIES.
Prophecy:
My enemies surround me like a pack of dogs; an evil gang closes in on me. They have pierced my hands and feet. Psalm 22:16 (NLT)
Fulfillment:
They told him, “We have seen the Lord!” But he replied, “I won’t believe it unless I see the nail wounds in his hands, put my fingers into them, and place my hand into the wound in his side.” John 20:25 (NLT)
5. THE UNIQUE ABOUT JESUS.
“Before Abraham was, I AM.” John 8:58
“I and the Father are one.” John 10:30
“I am the way, the truth, and the life.” John 14:6
Seeing their faith, Jesus said to the man, “Young man, your sins are forgiven.” But the Pharisees and teachers of religious law said to themselves, “Who does he think he is? That’s blasphemy! Only God can forgive sins!” Jesus knew what they were thinking, so he asked them, “Why do you question this in your hearts? Is it easier to say, ‘Your sins are forgiven,’ or ‘Stand up and walk’? So I will prove to you that the Son of Man has the authority on earth to forgive sins.” Then Jesus turned to the paralyzed man and said, “Stand up, pick up your mat, and go home!”
Luke 5:20-24 (NLT)

6. THE OF JESUS’ TEACHING.
When Jesus had finished saying these things, the crowds were amazed at his teaching, for he taught with real authority—quite unlike their teachers of religious law. Matthew 7:28-29 (NLT)
7. THE OF JESUS.
But the teachers of religious law who had arrived from Jerusalem said, “He’s possessed by Satan, the prince of demons. That’s where he gets the power to cast out demons.” Mark 3:22 (NLT)
When Jesus came to the region of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, “Who do people say that the Son of Man is?” “Well,” they replied, “some say John the Baptist, some say Elijah, and others say Jeremiah or one of
the other prophets.”   Then he asked them, “But who do you say I am?” Simon Peter answered, “You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God.” Jesus replied, “You are blessed, Simon, son of John, because my Father in
heaven has revealed this to you. You did not learn this from any human being. Matthew 16:13-17 (NLT)
