A Fresh Start
December 28, 2025 / Abundant Life ChurchA FRESH START
NEW YEARS 2026
… we all come to such unity in our faith and knowledge of God’s Son that
we will be mature in the Lord, measuring up to the full and complete
standard of Christ. Ephesians 4:13 (NLT)
Teach us how short our lives really are so that we may be wise.
Psalm 90:12 (NCV)
To make the most of my life in 2026 I need to…
1. … Make most of .
So be careful how you live. Don’t live like fools, but like those who are
wise. Make the most of every opportunity in these evil days. Don’t act
thoughtlessly, but understand what the Lord wants you to do.
Ephesians 5:15-17 (NLT)
2. … Move my Faith from a to a .
In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.
But someone will say,” You have faith; I have deeds.” Show me your faith
without deeds, and I will show you my faith by what I do. You believe that
there is one God. Good! Even the demons believe that–and shudder. You
foolish man, do you want evidence that faith without deeds is useless?
James 2:17-20 (NIV)
Then the way you live will always honor and please the Lord, and your
lives will produce every kind of good fruit. All the while you will grow as
you learn to know God better and better. Colossians 1:10 (NLT)
Faith is the confidence that what we hope for will actually happen; it gives
us assurance about things we cannot see. Through their faith, the people
in days of old earned a good reputation. Hebrews 11:1-2 (NLT)
3. … Make a priority.
Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good
works. And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do,
but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is
drawing near. Hebrews 10:24-25 (NLT)
4. … Become more .
Live wisely among those who are not believers, and make the most of
every opportunity. Colossians 4:5 (NLT)
And then he told them,” Go into all the world and preach the Good News
to everyone, everywhere.” Mark 16:15 (NLT)
5. … Make time a Priority and a Practice.
All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and
to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are
wrong and teaches us to do what is right. God uses it to prepare and equip
his people to do every good work. 2 Timothy 3:16-17 (NLT)
6. … Figure out and do what .
I want you to understand what really matters, so that you may live
pure and blameless lives until the day of Christ’s return.
Philippians 1:10 (NLT)
