Is Jesus the Only Way to God?
I. Introduction
A. John 14:6 (NLT) “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me.”
B. John 14:1-4 (NLT) 1“Don’t let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God, and trust also in me. 2There is more than enough room in my Father’s home. If this were not so, would I have told you that I am going to prepare a place for you? 3When everything is ready, I will come and get you, so that you will always be with me where I am. 4And you know the way to where I am going.”
C. John 13:36-38 (NLT) 36Simon Peter asked, “Lord, where are you going?” And Jesus replied, “You can’t go with me now, but you will follow me later.” 37“But why can’t I come now, Lord?” he asked. “I’m ready to die for you.” 38Jesus answered, “Die for me? I tell you the truth, Peter—before the rooster crows tomorrow morning, you will deny three times that you even know me.”
D. John 14:1-3 (NLT) 1“Don’t let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God, and trust also in me. 2There is more than enough room in my Father’s home. If this were not so, would I have told you that I am going to prepare a place for you? 3When everything is ready, I will come and get you, so that you will always be with me where I am.”

E. John 14:4 (NLT) “And you know the way to where I am going.”
F. John 14:5 (NLT) “No, we don’t know, Lord,” Thomas said. “We have no idea where you are going, so how can we know the way?”
G. John 14:6 (NLT) Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me.”
H. John 10:7, 9 (NLT) 7“I tell you the truth, I am the gate for the sheep. 9Yes, I am the gate. Those who come in through me will be saved. They will come and go freely and will find good pastures.”
1. Sincerity is necessary—but it’s not !
I. John 14:7-9 (NLT) 7”If you had really known me, you would know who my Father is. From now on, you do know him and have seen him!” 8Philip said, “Lord, show us the Father, and we will be satisfied.” 9Jesus replied, “Have I been with you all this time, Philip, and yet you still don’t know who I am? Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father! So why are you asking me to show him to you?”
1. Only one great religious leader in the course of human history ever claimed that He was God! And that was !
