Conflict is Inevitable

Conflict is inevitable, but division is a choice.. 

James 4:1 What causes fights and quarrels among you? Don’t they come from your desires that battle within you?

Conflict is only an outward response to an inward desire.

If you don’t deal with what’s happening in you, you’ll damage what’s happening between you.

Pride fights to win, humility fights for peace.

Proverbs 13:10 Where there is strife, there is pride, but wisdom is found in those who take advice.

You don’t lose relationships because of conflict you lose them because of pride

Philippians 2:3–4 “Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others.”

You can be right… and still be wrong in how you handle it.

Proverbs 15:1  “A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger.”

James 1:19 “Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry.”  

Being Right, doesn’t make it Right

Strong relationships aren’t conflict free, they’re repair rich

The goal is not to win,  the Goal is to restore.
