Great Is Thy Faithfulness

“You Have to Deny Someone”

Mark 14:66-72

Meanwhile, down in the courtyard, Peter is facing the ultimate test of his faith. But Jesus has prayed
for him, and while we see him deny the Lord three times, the Lord will not deny him. It is at this
pivotal moment in Peter’s life that he is brought to his knees in brokenness, and will then be restored
by grace, to be empowered for useful service.

Consider the two necessary ingredients to God’s preparation for usefulness …

1. The Trial of Peter [v66-72a](MULTILINE)
2. The Transformation of Peter [v72b; John 21:15-17](MULTILINE)

For Spiritual Conversation: Share a trial that has been used in your life to produce transformation.
