Full, But Hungry

February 15, 2026   /   Bridge Point Mid County

Matthew 4:4, “Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the
mouth of God.”

Then Jesus declared, “I am the BREAD OF LIFE. Whoever comes to me will never go
hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty.” (John 6:35, NIV)

Jesus answered, “Very truly I tell you, you are looking for me, not because you saw the
signs I performed but because you ate the loaves and had your fill.” (John 6:26, NIV)

1. WE CAN’T CONFUSE BEING WITH BEING
“Seek first the kingdom of God…” (Matt. 6:33, ESV)

2. FULL TRUST BEGINS WHEN ENDS
Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding.
(Proverbs 3:5, ESV)

Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and he will establish your plans. The Lord works
out everything to its proper end… (Proverbs 16:3-4a, NIV)

3. IS FOUND IN JESUS
Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness [the things of God above all
else] for they will be FILLED. (Matt. 5:6, NIV)

Let them give thanks to the Lord for his unfailing love and his wonderful deeds for
mankind, for he satisfies the thirsty and fills the hungry with good things. (Psalm 107:8-
9, NIV)

Colossians 2:10, “…in Christ you have been brought to fullness.”

“Whoever comes to Me” ->
“Whoever believes in Me” ->
