HONORING GOD IN MY BODY 

GOD FIRST – Part 5

So God created human beings in his own image, in the image of  God he created him; male and female he created them…Then God  looked over all he had made, and he saw that it was excellent in  every way. This all happened on the sixth day. – Genesis 1:27, 31 (NLT) 

WHAT GOD SAYS ABOUT MY BODY: 

1. MY BODY IS A . 
   

The body…is for the Lord, and the Lord for the body. By His  power God raised Jesus from the dead, and he will raise us also. – 1 Corinthians 6:13-14 (NIV)

2. MY BODY IS A .

Do you not know that your bodies are members of Christ himself? – 1 Corinthians 6:15 (NIV)

3. MY BODY IS A .

Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit,  who is in you, whom you have received from God? 

– 1 Corinthians 6:19 (NIV)

4. MY BODY IS A SACRED .

You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your body. – 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 (NIV)

5. MY BODY IS A .

We try to live in such a way that no one will be hindered from  finding the Lord by the way we act, and so no one can find fault  with our ministry. – 2 Corinthians 6:3 (NLT)

WHAT DOES IT LOOK LIKE TO PUT GOD FIRST IN  AND WITH MY BODY?

1. I PRESENT MY BODY .

– 1 Timothy 2:9; 1 Peter 3:3 

2. I FUEL AND EXERCISE MY BODY . – 1 Timothy 4:7-8 
3. I AM PHYSICALLY AND SPIRITUALLY  .

– 1 Corinthians 9:25-27 

4. I KEEP MY BODY MORALLY AND SEXUALLY .
