Heaven Touches Earth! December 28, 2025
Today: Impact 2025! How Heaven Touched Earth!
What is Impact?
Impact is the visible evidence that Heaven has touched earth in two ways but through one source.
- Supernatural & Natural (practical) Same Source!
- Both this morning.
God supplies the power (supernatural); people supply the practical obedience (natural).
(MULTILINE REVEAL SMALL)
1. Supernatural Impact: Occurs When God Acts Beyond Human Ability.
- Biblical examples: Healings, Deliverance, Convictions, Salvations
Only God can change a heart, heal a body, or raise someone from spiritual death.
- Had these 2025!
(MULTILINE REVEAL SMALL)
2. Natural Impact: Our Practical Obedience!
- Examples: Teaching children, Giving, Serving, Baptizing, Discipleship.
- Not less spiritual: Spirit-empowered obedience.
James 2:17 (NIV)
God releases power—but He uses obedient people. The supernatural initiates and the natural sustains.
God does what we can’t. We do what God asks.
We don’t choose between the supernatural and the natural; but we do live at the intersection of both.”
- We don’t just sit back and just wait on the supernatural
- We don’t move ahead in the natural forgoing God’s supernatural.
True impact happens when Heaven moves, and the church moves with it
Acts 2:47 (NIV)
When God moves, He always leaves fruit; and the fruit tells a story. So today, we’re not celebrating ourselves. We’re recognizing what God has done among us—and how that positions us for an increase in 2026.

TRUE IMPACT BEGINS WITH THE NEXT GENERATION
- Kids Impact!
Psalm 127:3 (NIV)
Matthew 19:14 (NIV)
One of the clearest types of evidence of God’s hand on a church is what’s happening in the lives of children and students.
Example
- 2024 Resurrection Seed Offering: God planted seeds!
When God moves among kids and youth, it means He’s not just visiting – He’s planning a long-term stay!
This is impact you may not fully see for years—but Heaven is already celebrating it.

IMPACT TOUCHES LIVES WHERE PEOPLE ARE HURTING
- Healing Impact!
Isaiah 53:5 (NIV)
Psalm 103:3 (NIV)
Healing is never just physical. It reaches into hearts, minds, memories, and moments people don’t talk about publicly.
This year, healing showed up in our church—not because we perfected a system, but because God honored faith.
Sunday, July 6th: Jeannie Shatzer Healing Testimony
(MULTILINE REVEAL SMALL)
Healing tells us something important:
- Faith rises above fear
- God will meet us where we’re hurting the most!
Healing is God restoring what pain tried to redefine.
Real Life Example: Twila Brenner!
IMPACT RELIEVES FINANCIAL PRESSURE
- Financial Impact
(MULTILINE REVEAL SMALL)
Deuteronomy 8:18 (NIV)
- Moses to Israel at Promised Land after 40 years in wilderness.
- About to inherit cities they didn’t build and fields they didn’t plant.
Moving From
- dependence to prosperity
- survival to stability
Moses knew danger was coming.
- Not lack but forgetting!
- Deuteronomy 8 warning chapter.
Israel’s greatest threat won’t be enemies, drought, or warfare. It will be wealth without memory. He’s saying don’t forget Heaven’s Touch!
(MULTILINE REVEAL SMALL)
God Declares
- I am not against your increase—but I am against your independence from Me.
“ability to produce wealth” Not money falling from heaven.
“ability” Hebrew koach: Means
- It’s God’s power, strength, capacity, opportunity.
It means; What you have you didn’t get on your own!
Q) Why did Moses bring this up before they enter the promise land?
A) Because wealth tests faith more than pressure ever did. In the wilderness they knew they needed God. In the land they might forget why.
Other Words:
When things start working, don’t confuse provision with self-sufficiency.
Deuteronomy 8:18 wasn’t spoken in a crisis—it was spoken on the edge of blessing. God warned Israel that prosperity could make them forget Him. So, He reminded them: ‘The ability you’re about to walk in didn’t come from you. It came from Me.’ Increase isn’t the danger—forgetting the source is.”

Real Life Example: Linda Hale
Matthew 6:33 (NIV)
God didn’t just increase provision—He also decreased pressure.
When a church experiences financial testimonies, it means people are learning to trust God not just with eternity—but with everyday life.
IMPACT IS SEEN WHEN GENEROSITY FLOWS FREELY
- Generosity Impact
2 Corinthians 9:11-12 (NIV)
Paul’s Addressing
- Church in Corinth about an offering being for believers in Jerusalem.
- Suffering, famine, persecution, economic loss
Paul’s Logic
- God supplies the resources
- Believers steward the money and release it!
- Needs are met
- God is glorified!
Paul’s teaching
Impact happens when Heaven provides, and the church participates.
Paul’s concern was never about the amount. It was about the outcome.
(MULTILINE REVEAL SMALL)
Example: Matt & Heidi Terry: Families impacted their lives financially
- Rescuing children!
People don’t give just because they were told to. They give because Heaven has touched them on the inside.
IMPACT GOES PUBLIC THROUGH OBEDIENCE
- Baptism Impact
Romans 6:4 (NIV)
- Paul writing believers in Rome: salvation does what it promises; New Life!
- Baptism represents a real break with the old life.
- To go under the water is to identify with Christ’s death.
- To come up is to commit to a new way of living.
Romans 6:4 reminds us that baptism marks the end of who we were and the beginning of how we now live. Baptism is not tradition—it’s declaration that says, “I’m not going back!” Baptism reminds us that God isn’t done changing lives—He’s still rewriting stories.

- Salvation Impact
Luke 19:10 (NIV)
- Church Mission!!
2 Corinthians 5:17 (NIV)
We can celebrate growth. We can celebrate giving. We can celebrate programs. But salvation is the reason. The center of everything!

- We count numbers; Heaven counts names!
Not only home but throughout the world!

Wrap Up:
- Not just highlights— it’s the foundation for 2026!
- Impact isn’t something we applaud. Impact is something we steward.
- The same God who moved this year will not change in 2026!
- If this is what God did through a surrendered church, imagine what He will do through an expectant one.
The Year of Impact wasn’t about what we did. It was about what God did in us so more can be released through us in 2026!
- God’s just getting started!
Go out praising what the Lord Has Done in 2025!
