“Transformation”

Ephesians 2:10 (NLT) For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.

The First Brushstroke of God is .
When God “paints” your life, He doesn’t you, He you.

Religion is all about .
“ this way” …
“ this way” …
You can tell a lot of people’s based upon their .

Christianity is all about .
You can’t tell a Christian by their appearance. You have to look at the .

1. The means .

2 Corinthians 5:17 (NKJV) Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.

John 3:1-7 (NLT) There was a man named Nicodemus, a Jewish religious leader who was a Pharisee. After dark one evening, he came to speak with Jesus. “Rabbi,” he said, “we all know that God has sent you to teach us. Your miraculous signs are evidence that God is with you.” Jesus replied, “I tell you the truth, unless you are born again, you cannot see the Kingdom of God.” “What do you mean?” exclaimed Nicodemus. “How can an old man go back into his mother’s womb and be born again?” Jesus replied, “I assure you, no one can enter the Kingdom of God without being born of water and the Spirit. Humans can reproduce only human life, but the Holy Spirit gives birth to spiritual life.”

2. God loves us but loves us too much to .

John 1:14 (CSB) The Word became flesh and dwelt among us. We observed his glory, the glory as the one and only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.

Grace .
Truth .

Grace us to be .
Truth us .

3. If I’m not , I might not really .

1 John 1:6-10 (CSB) If we say, “We have fellowship with him,” and yet we walk in darkness, we are lying and are not practicing the truth. 7 If we walk in the light as he himself is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin. 8 If we say, “We have no sin,” we are deceiving ourselves, and the truth is not in us. 9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 10 If we say, “We have not sinned,” we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.

1 John 2:4-6 (CSB) The one who says, “I have come to know him,” and yet doesn’t keep his commands, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. 5 But whoever keeps his word, truly in him the love of God is made complete. This is how we know we are in him: 6 The one who says he remains in him should walk just as he walked.

1 John 5:3 (CSB) For this is what love for God is: to keep his commands. And his commands are not a burden,

Three Ways to Let God Transform You

1. Get past and focus on who God .

Romans 1:1 (NIV) Paul, a servant of Christ Jesus, called to be an apostle and set apart for the gospel of God.

Colossians 3:7-8 (NIV) You used to walk in these ways, in the life you once lived. But now you must also rid yourselves of all such things as these…

2. Give God to change .

Galatians 5:19-24 (NIV) The acts of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God.
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,23 gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. 24 Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.

Psalm 37:4-6 (ESV) Delight yourself in the LORD, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the LORD; trust in him, and he will act. He will bring forth your righteousness as the light, and your justice as the noonday.

Philippians 2:13 (NLT) For God is working in you, giving you the desire and the power to do what pleases him.

3. the change to begin .

2 Corinthians 3:18 (NKJV) But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.

This is your mirror moment to let you know you were .
You don’t have to just be … you can be .
