Stress Out
“Let Goooooo”
11/2/25
Pastor Mark England

This is the year that “.”
Make room for God to do it by getting .

How do we get the stress out of our relationships?

Let

Luke 21:34 (NIV) “Be careful, or your hearts will be weighed down with carousing, drunkenness and the anxieties of life, and that day will close on you suddenly like a trap.

“Anxiety is like . The longer we are in it, the deeper we .”

Relational stress everything.
Health, Emotional Health, Mental Health, Dreams, Future.

Relational stress often causes us to other relationships when they did nothing .
This defense mechanism is how we create to protect ourselves from getting hurt again.

people, people.

Freedom from relational hurt is found in .

We cannot forgive others until we discover the forgiveness of .

Walk in before you walk in .
You can forgive someone and still be at them.

and are two very different things.

Forgiveness sets .
Reconciliation sets .

is very direct about this topic.
This is how you navigate relationships that are broken.

Matthew 5:23-24 (CSB) So if you are offering your gift on the altar, and there you remember that your brother or sister has something against you, 24 leave your gift there in front of the altar. First go and be reconciled with your brother or sister, and then come and offer your gift.

The context:
Jews would buy a “” at the Temple and take that offering as a sacrificial atonement for their sins before the High Priest.

We all have a “”.
“ to Galilee and make it right with Ralph.”

Reconciliation is to bring the .
To be reconciled in relationships, is to bring the to zero.

Once you reconcile, then go back to worship and offer up your .
REALLY?
This sounds and !

Before you go run out the church… there’s a element to it.

Romans 12:9-21 (CSB) Let love be without hypocrisy. Detest evil; cling to what is good. 10 Love one another deeply as brothers and sisters. Take the lead in honoring one another. 11 Do not lack diligence in zeal; be fervent in the Spirit; serve the Lord. 12 Rejoice in hope; be patient in affliction; be persistent in prayer. 13 Share with the saints in their needs; pursue hospitality.14 Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse. 15 Rejoice with those who rejoice; weep with those who weep. 16 Live in harmony with one another. Do not be proud; instead, associate with the humble. Do not be wise in your own estimation. 17 Do not repay anyone evil for evil. Give careful thought to do what is honorable in everyone’s eyes. 18 If possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone. 19 Friends, do not avenge yourselves; instead, leave room for God’s wrath, because it is written, Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord. 20 But If your enemy is hungry, feed him. If he is thirsty, give him something to drink. For in so doing you will be heaping fiery coals on his head. 21 Do not be conquered by evil, but conquer evil with good.

Be a .
We are commanded to the reconciliation, forgiveness, healing, grace, , and mercy that we have received through .

We cannot what other people do. And we can’t everything with everybody.

The part that is up to me.
“I will live a life that is pursuing with other people, to , and .”

2 Corinthians 5:17-21 (CSB) Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has passed away, and see, the new has come! 18 Everything is from God, who has reconciled us to himself through Christ and has given us the ministry of reconciliation. 19 That is, in Christ, God was reconciling the world to himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and he has committed the message of reconciliation to us. 20 Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, since God is making his appeal through us. We plead on Christ’s behalf, “Be reconciled to God.” 21 He made the one who did not know sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.

There is a direct connection between your relationship with and your relationship with .

Jesus is telling us, before you lift your hands in worship and offer your gift in service, of the grudge, hate, and pain you are holding on to.

If you can let go, then the will cover the “” and you can find freedom in your life, able to worship freely.

So how do I do this?

1. We focus on : He handles the .

2. We extend : He gives .

3. We seek : He provides the .

Make the first move and go .
It sets you apart as a in a world that doesn’t for anything!

“I’m sorry you feel that way about me.”
!

“I understand you’re upset, but you’re being very sensitive, and I have a colorful personality.”
!

Sometimes you need to put your big-boy pants on and get eye to eye with someone and say…

“I am .”
“It was .”
“I was .”
“What can I do to for us?”

This sets you apart as a because the world doesn’t want to apologize and says you shouldn’t have to either.

The devil wants to take away all reconciliation and keep us all .

Think about your “”.
The moment when it all went south, and words were exchanged that never should have been.

What do you need to say to your “” today?

Jesus has reconciled your balance to .
Who has sinned against that I can reconcile with?
