And we also thank God continually because, when you received the word of God, which you heard from us, you accepted it not as a human word, but as it actually is, the word of God, which is indeed at work in you who believe.

1 Thessalonians 2:13

All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.

2 Timothy 3:16-17

• How you look at things is your worldview
• You can have a Secular Worldview
• You can have a Biblical Worldview

Sanctify them by the truth; your word is truth.

• Does God exist?
• How did everything begin?
• What’s wrong with this world?
• What’s the ultimate solution?
• Who am I?

• What happens when I die?
• We have to filter all of these questions through the lens of God’s Word

Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says. Anyone who listens to the word but does not do what it says is like someone who looks at his face in a mirror and, after looking at himself, goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like. But whoever looks intently into the perfect law that gives freedom, and continues in it—not forgetting what they have heard, but doing it—they will be blessed in what they do.

James 1:22-25

Psalms 119:105

• Biblical Illiteracy is at an all-time high in our nation
  • 20% believe the Bible is the true word of God
  • 29% believe it is just stories, fables or legends
  • 51% believe it is book of morals and values but they don’t read it

Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth.

• In order to live by the Word you have to know the Word
