Allegiance to the King Daniel 6:1-28 Daniel in the Lions’ Den
September 21, 2025 / Dr. Kenneth Bruce / Westwood Baptist Church
God providentially places Daniel as a high ranking official in the Persian government org chart. Due to the jealousy of his coworkers, Daniel is persecuted for his faith and sentenced to death by lions.
Notice in the text how Daniel responded to the persecution, how He foreshadowed Jesus, and what this means for us today.
1 – Daniel displayed the character of God (6:3-9)
2 – Daniel faithfully maintained a devotion to God (6:10-18)
3 – Daniel faithfully a confidence in God (6:23 – “for he trusted in his God”)
Impact Point – Take joy! Celebrate! Jesus has death – so let’s go tell the world! (6:25-28)
