Discussion Guide

CHECKING IN

Do you have any story about Go Day 2025 you’re willing to share with your group? Do you have any suggestions for Go Day 2026 (A lot of our projects started as your ideas.)?(MULTILINE REVEAL SMALL)

CONVERSATIO(MULTILINE REVEAL SMALL)N

Why are people involved in service projects?(MULTILINE REVEAL SMALL)
What do we mean by “actions speak louder than words”?(MULTILINE REVEAL SMALL)

CONSIDERATION

Get in a quiet place and read Acts 2:42-47.
1. What was unique to the experience of the first church?(MULTILINE REVEAL SMALL)
2. What they did in verses 44-46 was unique and Scripture doesn’t record them doing it again, but the principle exists throughout Scripture. Thinking through this principle, how might this work today?(MULTILINE REVEAL SMALL)
3. How did the early church “enjoy the favor” of those outside the church (verse 47)?(MULTILINE REVEAL SMALL)
4. When people think of “Christians” or “the church”, what do they think?
5. Why is this?(MULTILINE REVEAL SMALL)
What have we done to deserve their opinion?(MULTILINE REVEAL SMALL)
What are some ideas you have to change the perception for the better?(MULTILINE REVEAL SMALL)
After reading John 13:1-17, answer the following:
1. Practically speaking, why did Jesus do this?(MULTILINE REVEAL SMALL)
2. Spiritually speaking, why did Jesus do this?(MULTILINE REVEAL SMALL)
3. In what ways can we “wash each other’s feet”?(MULTILINE REVEAL SMALL)

CONNECTION

Are you serving on a regular basis, either inside or outside the walls of the church building? If so, who are you encouraging to get involved? If not, when are you going to “get in the game”?(MULTILINE REVEAL SMALL)

Addendum: Marriage Groups

CONVERSATION

Did you serve on the same project or separate projects? Was there a reason for this?(MULTILINE REVEAL SMALL)

CONSIDERATION

Is there any regular area of ministry or service you do as a couple (or family)?(MULTILINE REVEAL SMALL)
How can married couples influence others to be involved and serve in our communities?(MULTILINE REVEAL SMALL)
