Study Series: The Church As It Was Meant to Be!
Every believer must recognize that God carries out His work in the world through local churches, and our understanding of the church must be grounded in His Word.
Acts 2:42; 2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Timothy 4:1-4
Life Application Points:
- To see that we must make much of doctrine, because only the truth of God’s word can be passed on to the next generation.
- To show that our doctrine came from Jesus Christ and is preserved in His Word.
- To understand that Satan is always seeking to corrupt the truth.
- To know that we will sometimes face contention even among brethren when we vigilantly stand for the truth.
- To be reminded of the responsibility that we have to contend for the faith in every generation.
Note: Our faith is not a contemporary experiment. Our faith is a treasured heritage, something we need to hold on to.
