Listen to Momma

Scripture: Proverbs 1:1-19

PART ONE:

Our message series is “Holiness of and ” — we want to become Christ-like in our inner world and in our outer behavior, by the help of Jesus and the Holy Spirit!

It’s MOTHER’S DAY! What can you recall that your momma said to do, or did herself, that you obeyed or have also done in your life? (MULTILINE)

Is there anything that your momma advised that you have NOT done that you need to repent of and start doing TODAY, because it was GOD speaking to you through her? (MULTILINE)

PART TWO

Proverbs 1 gives some holy advice from a holy momma and dad, such as:

Do not set foot on or go along on the of the sinful people who are trying to entice you.

Those who act as greedy, sinful, self-centered people, as though they are setting traps for OTHER people, are actually in the end going to just themselves! The evil turns back on them! Don’t be like that!

How might you be being influenced by evil people in your life and you need to repent, go a different direction, and act differently? (MULTILINE)

PART THREE

Around 250 AD, the North African Bishop Cyprian wrote, ” You cannot have God for your Father unless you have the for your mother.”

Isaiah 66:  “” births, nurtures

Matthew 12:   believers = Jesus’

John 3:  believers are “ again”

Revelation 12:  Evil wars against those of The Woman

Is the “Church” somehow being used by God to give you something to believe or do these days, that you need to “listen to momma” and do? (MULTILINE)
