HOW TO DO DAILY DEVOTIONS:
- Get a Bible, and set aside time to focus.
- SOAP:
- – a verse or two or paragraph…AND what’s behind it, in front of it, and where it is in the Bible.
- – Who, what, when, where, why, how? What’s this say about God? Humanity? Me? What to believe? What to do or not to do?
- – What do I need to do in response? Who do I need to tell? How shall I serve God and others as a result of this?
- – “Help me believe, and act on what you’re telling me…”
- PRAYER:
- – “God, I praise you today, you are powerful and creative and good and compassionate…thank you for….”
- – “God I confess…and I turn to you with my full attention and obedience…”
- – “Help me believe, and act on what you’re telling me….and help meet these daily needs today…”
- – “I’ve made my needs and desires known – but I yield to YOUR WILL to be done…”
And tomorrow, repeat! 🙂
