Isaiah 55:8-9
“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the Lord. “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.” (MULTILINE)

1. God speaks…but to who? (MULTILINE)

Romans 1:19-20 (TLB)
For the truth about God is known to them instinctively; God has put this knowledge in their hearts. Since earliest times, men have seen the earth and sky and all God made, and have known of his existence and great eternal power. So, they will have no excuse when they stand before God at Judgement Day. (MULTILINE)

2. God speaks…but can I hear Him? (MULTILINE)

John 10:3-4 (NLT)
The gatekeeper opens the gate for him, and the sheep recognize his voice and come to him. He calls his own sheep by name and leads them out. After he has gathered his own flock, he walks ahead of them, and they follow him because they know his voice. (MULTILINE)

3. God speaks…but why? (MULTILINE)

A. God is not formal.

Hosea 6:6 (TLB)
“I don’t want your sacrifices–I want your love; I don’t want your offerings–I want you to know me!” (MULTILINE)

B. God is not distant.

Ezekiel 39:29
“I will no longer hide my face from them, for I will pour out my Spirit on the people.” (MULTILINE)

C. God is not against you.

John 3:17 (TLB)
God did not send His son into the world to condemn it, but to save it. (MULTILINE)
