Question #29 – How can we be saved?
Answer #29 – Only by faith in Jesus Christ and in his substitutionary atoning death on the cross.
Kingdom Prayer
Kingdom: Pray for Valley Lights Church and pastor Bruce Wood along with his wife Erin. They are Send Network planters in the SCV meeting at Rio Norte Jr. High. Pray for their marriage and family as they do the hard work of pastoral ministry. Pray for wisdom as he teaches and shepherds the people under his care. Pray God uses Valley Lights to save lost people.
Church: Pray for the people of Redeemer to be committed to even deeper prayer this year. May we pursue more and more opportunities to pray together with one another. May the Spirit of God ignite greater passion to be in the Word and Prayer.
People: Pray for Josh Nunez. Pray for his walk with the Lord to grow deeper and more joyful day by day. Pray for his career pursuits as he advances in financial planning. Pray for the time he spends with cross-country runners at TMU to be used by God for their growth.

Jesus Paid It All
“The Fear that Keeps Us from Faith”
Mark 4:35-41
Jesus has taught the disciples the principles of the Kingdom through parables. Now the principles
will be put on display through powerful miracles to demonstrate Jesus’ Kingdom identity. For as
much as the disciples had been taught, they still had deep seated fears that blinded them from truly
seeing and trusting Jesus. Here we see Jesus as having power and authority over creation. The storms
of life are simply a tool of the King to reveal the storms in our own hearts.
The questions that expose our fears and lead us into faith …
1. The Question of Fear [v35-38](MULTILINE)
2. The Questions of the Heart [v39-40] (MULTILINE)
3. The Question of Faith [v41] (MULTILINE)
For Spiritual Conversation: As honestly as possible, share a deep core fear you often feel. Then
describe how you think that fear comes out in your emotions to others.
