This is part 3 of our series on what it looks like to surrender to God.
Do you know where the WHITE FLAG COMES FROM? A Roman historian named Cornelius Tacitus wrote about it in 109AD speaking of the fall of the Eastern Han dynasty. Before this moment Soldiers would lift their shields in a sign of defeat. Yet that blinded in and often fighting keeps happening. So, soldiers started pulling out white cloths and would put them on the end of their swords and wave them saying….we quit, we surrender.

Lord give strength to find freedom in forgiveness and letting go. You know there is a truth about forgiveness…. forgiveness is not something we offer to another but for us to find freedom for ourselves.
We live a surrendered life to Jesus because we KNOW we cannot do it on our own. We need to set aside all the pride, arrogance, that we have as sinners and GIVE IT ALL to Him. Once we do that we will start to see His Blessings in our life.
