Today we start a new series of messages entitled Who’s Your One?
It’s about personal evangelism.
Why take time to talk about personal evangelism?
- It’s how came to Christ.
2. It’s how come to Christ.
3. It’s .
4. It’s an all of us born-again believers have.
The next few Sundays we’ll be focusing not on reaching the world, or Fairfield County, or Bridgeport, or even your neighborhood. We’ll focus on reaching .
Why just one person?
We’ve hinted at it: that’s the way have come to Christ as Savior and will come to Christ as Savior.
Another reason: .
That’s what we are going to do in 2025. Focus on , but truly focus on him/her.
Where can I find my One?
Andrew found his one , John 1:40-42
Philip found his one in , John 1:43-51
Four men found their one in a , Mark 2:1-12 (Matthew 9:1-8, Luke 5:18-26)
The deacon Philip found his one in , Acts 8:26-29
Peter found his one among people , Acts 10:24-33
Paul found his one among , Acts 16:13-15
Paul found his second one in , Acts 16:16-18
Paul found his third one in a person who , Acts 16:27-30
Aquilla and Priscilla found their one , Acts 18:24-28
There they are. A lot of possibilities: a brother, a friend, someone with a special need, a person passing by, a person we never expected to witness to, a person we met while intentionally looking for someone to be a witness to, a person who knows you are a Christian, a person who has overheard you talking about Jesus, someone you met at church, etc.
These encounters demonstrate the different places we might discover our one and the different relationships we may have to our one. Our one may come from among our family members, friends, co-workers, neighbors, people we interact with regularly, people we meet at church, people who seem ‘spiritual’, etc.
WHO’S YOUR ONE?
Who’s the person who you most want to see come to Christ? Or, who’s the one person you feel God prompting you to try to reach for him?
