Next Step Session 2
December 30, 2024 / Jonathan HernandezWelcome to Session 2!
In our last session, we talked about:
- The Position of the Church: The church is built on the cornerstone of Jesus.
- The Posture of the Church: The church was designed to move.
- The Purpose of the Church: The church’s purpose is to make disciples.
And here at Hope City, we believe disciples are made when we bring Hope to the broken and Purpose for everyone.
Bible Passages for Today’s Session
Ephesians 4:7-10 (NLT)
7 However, he has given each one of us a special gift through the generosity of Christ. 8 That is why the Scriptures say, “When he ascended to the heights, he led a crowd of captives and gave gifts to his people.” 9 Notice that it says “he ascended.” This clearly means that Christ also descended to our lowly world. 10 And the same one who descended is the one who ascended higher than all the heavens, so that he might fill the entire universe with himself.
Value 2: God’s Glory is our Purpose
The aim of Hope City Church is to help people discover His purpose. We believe that each of us have been uniquely gifted to showcase His glory.
