There is a Hope

Jarrett Shamp

If we want to live with hope…

1. We must trust in the of God.

In the beginning God… –Genesis 1:1 (NIV)

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.  He was with God in the beginning.  Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made.  In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind.  The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it. –John 1:1-5 (NIV)

2. In order to trust the Sovereignty of God we must know the

Psalm 145, 146, 147

3. In order to live with this hope, we must .

At one time we too were foolish, disobedient, deceived and enslaved by all kinds of passions and pleasures. We lived in malice and envy, being hated and hating one another. –Titus 3:3 (NIV)

But when the kindness and love of God our Savior appeared, he saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit, whom he poured out on us generously through Jesus Christ our Savior, so that, having been justified by his grace, we might become heirs having the hope of eternal life. This is a trustworthy saying.  –Titus 3:4-7 (NIV)
