A Prayer Answering God

Mark 11:15-26

Mark 11:15 NKJV and RVR60

So they came to Jerusalem. Then Jesus went into the temple and began to drive out those who bought and sold in the temple, and overturned the tables of the money changers and the seats of those who sold doves.

Vinieron, pues, a Jerusalén; y entrando Jesús en el templo, comenzó a echar fuera a los que vendían y compraban en el templo; y volcó las mesas de los cambistas, y las sillas de los que vendían palomas;

And He would not allow anyone to carry wares through the temple.

y no consentía que nadie atravesase el templo llevando utensilio alguno.

Then He taught, saying to them, “Is it not written, ‘My house shall be called a house of prayer for all nations’? But you have made it a ‘den of thieves.’ ”

Y les enseñaba, diciendo: ¿No está escrito: Mi casa será llamada casa de oración para todas las naciones? Mas vosotros la habéis hecho cueva de ladrones.

And the scribes and chief priests heard it and sought how they might destroy Him; for they feared Him, because all the people were astonished at His teaching.

Y lo oyeron los escribas y los principales sacerdotes, y buscaban cómo matarle; porque le tenían miedo, por cuanto todo el pueblo estaba admirado de su doctrina.

When evening had come, He went out of the city.

Pero al llegar la noche, Jesús salió de la ciudad.

Now in the morning, as they passed by, they saw the fig tree dried up from the roots.

Y pasando por la mañana, vieron que la higuera se había secado desde las raíces.

And Peter, remembering, said to Him, “Rabbi, look! The fig tree which You cursed has withered away.”

Entonces Pedro, acordándose, le dijo: Maestro, mira, la higuera que maldijiste se ha secado.

So Jesus answered and said to them, “Have faith in God.

Respondiendo Jesús, les dijo: Tened fe en Dios.

For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.

Porque de cierto os digo que cualquiera que dijere a este monte: Quítate y échate en el mar, y no dudare en su corazón, sino creyere que será hecho lo que dice, lo que diga le será hecho.

Mark 11:24 NKJV and RVR60

Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.

Por tanto, os digo que todo lo que pidiereis orando, creed que lo recibiréis, y os vendrá.

Mark 11:25 NKJV and RVR60

“And whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him, that your Father in heaven may also forgive you your trespasses.

Y cuando estéis orando, perdonad, si tenéis algo contra alguno, para que también vuestro Padre que está en los cielos os perdone a vosotros vuestras ofensas.

Mark 11:26 NKJV and RVR60

But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father in heaven forgive your trespasses.”

Porque si vosotros no perdonáis, tampoco vuestro Padre que está en los cielos os perdonará vuestras ofensas.

Because Jesus wants to answer prayer we must meet His requirements for prayer.

1. Value the house of God by attendance and attitude
2. Pray biblically and consistently in faith
