How to Deal with Difficult People

2 Timothy 2:23-26 (NLT) – Again I say, don’t get involved in foolish,
ignorant arguments that only start fights. A servant of the Lord must not
quarrel but must be kind to everyone, be able to teach, and be patient
with difficult people. Gently instruct those who oppose the truth. Perhaps
God will change those people’s hearts, and they will learn the truth. Then
they will come to their senses and escape from the devil’s trap. For they
have been held captive by him to do whatever he wants.

Why Are There Difficult People?

• We live in a and world.
Romans 3:23 – for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God…..

• The enemy of our soul knows the of relationships.

• Our greatest happen through .

What Are My Choices?
• You can choose to it.
• You can choose to  it.
• You can choose to it.

The Biblical Response
1. you cannot please everyone.
Galatians 1:10 – Am I now trying to win the approval of human beings, or
of God? Or am I trying to please people? If I were still trying to please
people, I would not be a servant of Christ.

2.to play the game.
Proverbs 26:4 (NLT) – Don’t answer the foolish arguments of fools, or you
will become as foolish as they are.

Choosing not to play the game doesn’t mean you’re weak—it means
you’re wise.

3. above it.
Romans 12:18 – If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace
with everyone.

4. Never .
1 Peter 3:9 (NLT) – Don’t repay evil for evil. Don’t retaliate with insults
when people insult you. Instead, pay them back with a blessing. That is
what God has called you to do, and he will grant you his blessing.
Luke 23:34 – Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what
they are doing.”

5. them.
Matthew 5:44 (NLT) – But I say, love your enemies! Pray for those who
persecute you!

6. Live .
Ephesians 4:32 (NLT) – Instead, be kind to each other, tenderhearted,
forgiving one another, just as God through Christ has forgiven you.

We are  through . We are
through .
